From not good to worse (EDIT: and back again)
UPDATED review This has not been a good experience but Amazon at least has done everything I could hope for. The initial set-up of the monitor was fine, and for one day everything worked as it should. The quality was satisfactory for general use even if text lacked sharpness. I would have persevered but, on day 2, the monitor would not connect at all to my desktop computer. I tried with a laptop but again nothing would connect. Having tried solutions like using different cables, I decided to return the item. NOT so relevant: Amazon customer support was outstanding. I was given clear instructions what to do. Unfortunately, the normally excellent DPD got my package as far as Scotland but then failed to deliver it to Amazon returns. I tried raising a concern, then made an informal complaint and, after an initial DPD response claiming the item was on their prohibited list (!), I lodged a formal complaint. UPDATE: shortly after I submitted the first version of this review, Amazon confirmed receipt of the returned item and gave a full refund. Excellent! From DPD: nothing beyond the wholly unsatisfactory email referred to above.

Not capable of the advertised 65W USB-C power delivery
It’s a nice enough monitor but I chose it specifically for the advertised 65W USB-C power delivery, so that I could use a single USB-C cable to connect either my Dell Precision work laptop or my MacBook Pro, and have it charge the laptop, with external keyboard and mouse connected to the USB-A ports on the monitor. Unfortunately it would not charge either laptop. I returned it for an identical replacement believing the original item was faulty, after spending a long time trying different USB-C cables and different ports. The replacement did manage to charge my MacBook but not the Dell Precision. After exchanging a few emails with Philips customer support they said that the indicated “PD 45W (Max)” in the OSD showed that this was likely a hardware limit on that model and that the OSD limit “trumps the spec sheet”. So although they advertise it as 65W it can actually only provide 45W. Therefore it only gets 1 star and will be returned.

Sehr zufrieden
Aufbau und Inbetriebnahme einfach. Bin sehr zufrieden. Das Design des Monitors ist ansprechend und wirkt nicht aufdringlich. Genau was ich wollte. Gut, dass ich mich für dieses Modell entschieden habe. Die Funktionen sind sehr gut. Klares Bild. Was will man mehr.
