Utter junk!
What an absolute waste of money this was. My young son is still crying about this as it was his birthday present. First time out we could not get the app to work to use camera. When we used it, it lasted 5 minutes. Second time out, it stopped working whilst it was in the air. The controller would not connect to it and we ended up losing it. I’m so disappointed that amazon continues to sell products that are clearly utter junk. It’s very small as well, we could barely see it. Please do not buy.

HS160- Great Drone- Great Service.
Fast Prime next day delivery. Arrived in perfect condition, nicely presented.I did have some trouble charging one of the two included batteries but Camille at Holy Stone support sorted this out for me very quickly and efficiently.The drone is a little smaller than I expected as it's difficult to gauge from a photo, but it's excellent as a first/beginner drone. It seems very resilient, and I can now fly it around with too much crashing or banging into things! It comes with a spare set of props just in case, but the fitted ones seem to be quite tough.Batteries take some time to charge up and last 8-10 mins. I now turn off the lights but I'm not sure how much more time that gives.The drone flies really well as long as it's not windy. The plus side is, because it's so light, it just seems to bounce if you bin it.The levels of responsiveness on the controls is a handy feature so you can start slow and increase the response as you get better.The camera is crisp and works fine through the free app on my iPhone although I've yet to master flying it in first person view.I recommend this drone in part to it being very good, but also because of the support available. I've bought a few things and not been able to find or buy spares, ask questions or sort out any issues because they are just box shifters working from their bedrooms. Not so with these guys!Buy one, use it to learn on, and upgrade later- that's what I am going to do. I'm sure the drone will be easy to sell later as it seems to be unbreakable!

Excellent Customer Service - shame about the product
I wanted a basic starter drone for my husband as an anniversary present. I wasn't expecting anything exceptional for the money I paid but, on a very basic level, I expected to be able to fly it and take a few pictures. The product comes beautifully presented in a white box with three smaller boxes inside. So far, so good.We followed all the instructions and calibrated the device, but we could not get it to stabilise no matter what we did. We tried to correct the fact that it lurched all over the place with the trim whenever we tried to fly it, but the moment it became airborne, we lost control. We tried it outdoors (when there was no wind) and indoors, but we could never establish control of the device.Eventually, I contacted customer service who were impressively helpful and gave us various pieces of advice, before asking us to submit video evidence of our difficulties. After viewing the problem, they sent us a replacement drone, which we very pleased about, until we opened it up and had exactly the same problem. We submitted further video evidence (wasting a fair amount of our time in the process) and requested a refund, at which point we were told that we could only have half a refund because we were just outside of the 30 day warranty.Obviously, I was pretty unhappy at this point. I'd tried to buy my husband a nice gift on our anniversary and I'd ended up with two defective products and was being offered only half my money back. I kept contacting customer service and eventually got my money back almost 2 months after my purchase, as they went a bit quiet on me for a while until they realised I wasn't going to let it go.In all honesty, I can't really fault the efforts of Jolin and Iris in the customer service team. They did do their level best to help me, however long-winded the process was. I would like to be more positive about the product but, unless we were extremely unlucky, it's simply not fit for purpose. We weren't able to enjoy a single flight with either drone and didn't even bother with the photographic element, because it wouldn't have been controllable. The fact that this company told me I didn't need to return either drone suggests they are aware that it isn't the greatest product, but it's still a lot of money to part with for something that doesn't do what you expect.In short, pretty good customer service for a lousy product. If you want a drone that actually works, save up and spend more on a decent one. Don't waste your money on this.

Great service and great little done.
Great service and a great little product. Having recently purchased the Holy Stone HS 160 Shadow I can confidently say from personal experience that the company does a great job of taking care of is customers. The first HS160 I received didn't function correctly, when I contacted Holy Stone they ware very helpful and quickly dispatched a replacement model. The product itself works very well and if like myself you are looking for an affordable, compact drone for a young person, adult or to take on holiday then this fits the bill. It is light, folds away easily and as long as you follow the instructions very easy to pair to either the controller or phone. As it comes with two batteries and a simple USB charging cable, which attaches to a laptop, a computer or a tablet with a full sized USB port, it means you get more flying time quickly and easily with out the cost of buying additional batteries. The one button take-off and landing works smoothly it's then just a case off mastering the controls, in my case on the lowest speed setting. I would like to give special thanks to Iris in customer support for all her help
