JDIAG 2IN1 TPMS Relearn Tool Super EL50448 for GM and for Ford Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor TPMS Reset Tool, Tpms Programming Tool 2025 Edition

[March 2025 - My review of "JDIAG 2IN1 TPMS Relearn Tool Super EL50448 for GM and for Ford Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor TPMS Reset Tool 2025 Edition"] We have a 2011 Ford F150 Platinum, and for several months the TPMS error message had been on the dashboard display every time we started the truck. Our research showed that the message could simply be due to a dead/dying battery (apparently they last roughly five years) I confess - we're cheap. Genuine Ford TPMS units are over $50 each, so I took a chance on much less expensive ones from Amazon: "9L3Z1A189A TPMS Sensors, 315MHZ Pre-Programmed Tire Pressure Sensor for Ford F150 F250 F350 F450 F550 2009-2016 Escape 2009-2019 Fusion 2010-2016 for Lincoln MKX MKC 4pcs" The brand: ISINLASSO... They have various part numbers so be careful which ones you order. They're supposed to be pre-programmed, and a set of four is only $24.59 at the moment (March 28, 2025) which seems about average for non-OEM units. When we had new tires fitted a few weeks ago we got the fitter to replace the TPMS units as well. Initially, I bought a small gray rectangular TPMS relearn/trainer clicker on Amazon for about $13 because it looked like the ones in 'how to' videos, and it's popular on Amazon with good ratings. Unfortunately, that little gray clicker didn't work on our truck's TPMS units, and I was worried in case the error message wasn't being caused by a faulty sensor in the first place, or I might be forced to buy a set of Ford OEM sensors and pay to have them installed, which would have been annoying, to say the least. Before doing anything rash & expensive, I ordered this very different gadget because it claims to work with Ford and GM sensors. Note - You'll need to install one of the small rectangular 9V batteries with the two terminals on the top, which is a bit inconvenient unless you're battery hoarders like us. However, once that's done, the instructions explain how to put various vehicles into the required 'Tire Training Mode' before using the gadget. There are several 'how to' videos attached to this product's Amazon page, and various YT videos show you how to do it as well. Hubby was able to do the TPMS retraining in about five minutes. It would have been even faster but he tried it a couple of times using the Ford setting (for obvious reasons!), which didn't do anything. However, the instructions said the GM setting works on some Ford F150s, so he tried the GM setting once and it worked immediately! No more TPMS error message anymore. Yay! The VERY short version: This Ford/GM TPMS training gadget worked for our non-OEM TPMS units on our 2011 Ford F-150 Platinum, using the GM setting, not the Ford one. So, if you're having no luck with the Ford setting, I recommend trying the GM setting before returning the gadget!

Pros: - quick connection to sensor and car - easy to use - instructions provided - no issues with battery life - product feels durable if dropped but I did not test it - tire pressure was immediately displaying on car’s screen Cons: - instructions were slightly off for Ford’s and the instructions were not proof read Overall: I would for sure buy this again if I needed another one. The instructions weren’t perfect but they were good enough to get the job done. For my car in particular, I had to put the sensor against the rim behind where the valve stem is instead of the tire wall like the instructions show. See my photo of placement location.

Save yourself some grief. I have a 2008 Ford Explorer, so an older car, and just got a tire sensor fault error on the dash display. It turns out my suv has the band sensors. I tried scanning my tires over 2 days with this tool, and it only found one sensor twice. I tried it on the F setting, on the G setting, pointing the antenna at the tire by the valve stem, pressing the tool sideways on the tire by the valve stem, then repeating the same process on the opposite side of the tire 180 degrees from the valve stem, on each setting, in each position. I tried this on each tire, and…nothing. I wasn’t sure if it was the tool, all of the sensors, or my inexperience, but I decided to order a different looking tool, because I mainly see 2 styles of these relearning tool in the inexpensive variety. I ordered a different bright green tool because I figured it would be easy to find when I misplace it a half dozen times when I’m getting frustrated. I ordered this one: JDIAG TPMS Sensor Tool, TPMS Relearn Tool for F150 Auto TPMS Reset Sensor Programming Training Tools Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS-19 / 8C2Z-1A203-A) I put the car in Train mode, put this sensor next to the valve stem on the left front tire, and…nothing. Then I placed it on the opposite side of the wheel, 180 degrees around, and…Bingo! I can’t believe I wasted 2 days trying to get a weak JDIAG 2IN1 TPMS Relearn Tool to work! I went to the next wheel, and couldn’t get anything to scan, so I went to the 3rd wheel. Bingo! Next, the 4th wheel. Bingo! I concluded that my wheel #2, Right Front, is the faulty sensor. The 8C2Z-1A203-A tool made it super easy. So, if you are reading this review, don’t buy the tool which this review is written under. Search Amazon for the following tool and buy it if you have a Ford! This programmed my 2017 Explorer with push button start. I’m giving it only four stars because the changing between GM and Ford modes is a little gimmicky. The price is great.

This worked first try on a 2017 GM sedan with no problems. The tire sensors are aftermarket (Alligator, shop didn't have the compatible Schrader in stock) as the OEM ones were replaced last year due to dead battery in one. I had an OEC-T5 (GM specific, orange housing) bought about 7 years ago I could never get to work with the OEM sensors, but this tool works on the aftermarket ones. I did have to slowly change the angle of the unit/antenna while it was transmitting to get each sensor to wake up, but once that trick was employed got them all done in under 2 minutes.

Worked exactly as I expected. Our left tire connected fine and the right confirmed it was a dead sensor so now we can replace it confidently. Super easy to use and will be an easy reconnect once we replace our right front sensor!

I like to read reviews, I hate to write them. However this is a interesting story, so I will share. I promptly recieved my tool went to the store and bought a 9 volt battery, opened the package them installed the battery. With tool instructions in hand started messing with tool to check ot the different modes. Did not seem to be acting quite write. Took it out to my 2016 Silverado Duramax got three owners manual out and had a difficult time finding the learn mode on trunk. Tried programming with the new TPMS tool from Amazon with no luck. Went inside and stayed looking through youtube and found the toolwas not working correctly. Both GM and Ford lights would flash instead of just one to tell me which mode there tool was in. So I sent an e mail to the manufacturer explaining my situation. Then got a hold of customer support at Amazon. Amazon promptly agreed to send me a new tool. Excellent customer service as usual. In the mean time I recieved an e mail back from the manufacturer explaining that those symptoms of both lights flashing id normally from a weak battery and that I should watch a YouTube video. I sent a bit of a gruff response that I already had done that and the battery was brand spanking new. I admit I figured I was getting the runaround. So after I simmered down a bit I went out to a bird we have batteries in and grab another 9 bolt battery and put it in the TMPS tool. To my plesant surprise the toll responded as in the video and in led than 4 miniutes the 4 tied on my truck was programmed. I then contacted customer support cancelled the replacement tool, and mine sits patiently in my tool box waiting for the next tire rotation.

Followed directions, I got the vehicle to program mode could not reset. Not sure if it is a problem with this product or actually a bad sensor now I have to take it to the mechanic to get the sensor checked out or replaced. It was less than $20 so it was worth a shot.

Bought last fall ,It work, GM or Ford. No problem on after market tire pressure sensors in my winter tires it responds right away. Then this spring I installed the original ford tires and relearn my Cmax hybrid it didn’t not respond right away it toke me three time and keep timing out after the second tire, finally it work being Patient enough six times pressing the power button on each tire. Hope this message helpful. I’m still happy with this product it’s cheap price, better than $60.00 dollars every season.

Funciona correctamente, Ford explorer sport 2018, tal cual seguí las instrucciones y a la primera quedaron las 4 llantas programadas... La historia detrás fue que un sensor se descompuso y lo tuve que comprar en Amazon también, tuve que rotar las llantas y ninguno era el correcto en el tablero.. Lo que tuve que buscar el programador correcto, en cuanto llego lo utilice, y en 5 minutos quedó todo listo incluyendo el nuevo sensor..

Looks good quality. Used for Ford Explorer 2012, I could not identify the faulty ones using this device. The devise also failed to sync the tires sensors.

If you work on a lot of GM or Ford vehicles for a living or simply want to do your own tires in your driveway and not drag your vehicle into a shop for a TPMS relearn, this JDiag tool is for you. Once you follow the Ford or GM procedure for your specific vehicle to get into learning mode, you simply hold the tip of this tool (for GM vehicles) or the right side of this tool near the button (for Ford vehicles) near the TPMS sensor and wait for the horn to blow. Once the horn activates, you can move onto the next wheel and repeat till all 4 sensors are learned to the vehicle. The real benefit to this tool is the fact it does Ford and GM vehicles within the same tool. You can easily switch between the two makes by holding the button on the front for approximately 3 seconds. Then the light for the mode you switched to will flash to confirm which mode the tool is now in. My unit has been used on countless Ford and GM vehicles from the very beginnings of TPMS adoption (2006-2008) all the way up to current model vehicles and I never had an issue with this tool failing to activate a working TPMS sensor. For the price point, this tool can't be recommended enough as it's far more versatile than buying a specific GM or Ford tool and does exactly the same job as both of those separate tools do.
