Great variety of plants and their uses
The color companion to download was a nice and vibrant add to the book. The first chapter includes the types of ways to use the plants (remedies - think tea, tinctures, ) with a bit of history on the plants. The next bit is a breakdown by plant including how to grow it and typical ways to care for them. The specifics can be useful especially if you are not familiar with that plant or are living in a new climate where that plant may live a bit differently or how to use the parts of the plants for medicinal uses. The last bits of information I found useful is how to store or preserve the different plants. I also enjoyed the bit on typical pests and how to handle them. This book eliminates the need to go through my numerous books on herbs or plants to find all that information on these specific plants and it keeps it all in one reference point. This is the fourth book by the author I have read and I love the concise layout.

Another Awesome Book
I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning how to use natural healing. Jenni did a fantastic job of explaining how to grow, harvest, store and use lots of wonderful healing plants. I learned more about plants to help with psoriasis. Thanks Jenni for the opportunity to read and review another book you wrote.

Great Read!!
Did you know that thyme has more than three times the antioxidants of blueberries? I didn't until I read this book. That fact alone makes me want to grow my own herb garden! The author does a great job of describing all the steps it takes from the right soil (the most important thing) to the type of bed. The author reviews herbs, medicinal roots, and medicinal flowers. She also includes how to turn your harvest into actual remedies that will provide medicinal benefits. It's obvious that the author enjoys growing and teaching others about herbs and there benefits. The chapter on turning plants into medicinal remedies was interesting and inspired me to learn more.

One of the Best Herbalist Books I Have Read
I have owned and read many books on herbs over the years - but I am always looking for the one that has it all. For me, this means a book that has sections on getting started the right way, how to choose and grow individual herbs, how to identify them (this book includes written descriptions as well as pictures), and most importantly - how to prepare them for use, and what each herb can be used for. This book has all of this - and is written so well, that there is no confusion as to how to follow the advice and instructions.I highly recommend this book to beginner, as well experienced, gardeners!

Helpful book
This series of books has been really helpful in creating my herb garden, with info on what to grow, for what purpose, and how to prepare the harvested herb for use. This book is no exception and a great addition to my gardening library. I have five of her books now. All are good!
