These hangers are definitely NOT black - or "matt" (they mean "matte") for that matter. They are a shiny pewter color. I'm showing it next to a hanger I have that IS actually matte black for comparison. I have very little free time, and now my project has to be pushed back because I wasted time on delivery for an item that is nothing like its described. CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION TO WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS. Now because I can't even return it to an Amazon Hub which is close to me, I have to find a UPS store. Thanks for the errand! Love having my time wasted!

Great set of solid stainless steel coat hangers. And not just any old stainless steel either... it's only mentioned inside of one of the pictures in the item description, but this is 304 steel, otherwise known as 18/8 steel. Most dinnerware utensils for example are made of regular 18/0 stainless steel, but the best silverware is made of 18/8 or 18/10 stainless steel. These coat hangers are 18/8 stainless steel... which means they are much more resistance to corrosion and rust, than regular 18/0 steel. These hangers are welded, at the key intersection point. The thickness of the metal is 3.2 mm.... vs typical dry cleaner wire hangers at about 2 mm. I saw another brand of metal coat hangers that were a whopping 4 mm thick... but when it came to the weight a hanger could actually hold... they had a 20 pound weight limit, just like these hangers here... so these are some top notch hangers. High quality, polished, well made, sturdy, solid and attractive. Great product. - Oh, the hooks don't turn... they're one way only, so that's the only draw back.

I was tired of plastic hangers breaking nearly every time I go to use them, so i ordered these metal hangers. They don't disappoint, and seem very sturdy. I dont think ill have to worry about these breaking.
