"GREAT VALUE, EXTREMELY USEFUL FOR HOME AND OFFICE!"
I use these index cards for both home, and office. I usually prefer white, as I label them for my office needs. We also use these cards for games, and basically to label many items at home, such as dinners in plastic containers to store in the freezer. They are light in weight, but serve the purpose for a variety of needs. In addition, over the last 15 years, I've spent too much money when purchasing index cards in office supply stores at many locations. I receive many more from ordering on Amazon, I don't need to waste valuable work time to drive to stores, and wait on cashier lines. Most important, this is a great bargain price. For office, I almost use everyday, and create my own labels from these cards. They come in handy, and are right at my finger-tips. We use these for certain games, such as clue, when you run out of cards that came with the game, but can still play the game. We use these as keeping score cards, as well as labels for several products in my home. We are very satisfied, as these index cards come in handy for many uses. This is where I will indeed order again. Highly recommended!

Great for flashcards!
Work great as flashcards! They are on the thin side, but I use that to my advantage as I need to make several hundred flashcards for the class that I am taking and can easily punch a hole in them and put them on a book ring for easy organization. They are also thin enough to be sent through my printer so I don't have to handwrite any of the flash card information or spend the extra money on labels. Overall I am very happy with these index cards and will continue to buy these for future classes.

Why all the complaining?
At about 1/2 cent each (Prime shipping included), these index cards are a very good deal.As expected, a heavy-tipped permanent marker (Duramark) bleeds through slightly if you press down hard. However, ball point, gel tip, and ultra fine point Sharpies (black or red) do NOT bleed through. The card stock is thin, but certainly not "paper thin" as some complain. They are the exact same weight as 4" x 6" index cards I bought at Staples some time ago. You want fancy, heavyweight cards? Fine. Go to Levenger and pay seven times as much. These come neatly bundled in packs of 100 (1,000 cards in all) which keeps things a lot neater for storage. (It will take me a long time to use up all these cards.)Never thought I'd write a review about index cards. But the negative comments almost kept me from ordering and they're exaggerated, in my view.

It is more like those inserts in magazines
Let me just say that the card stock isn't what you would expect for index cards. It is more like those inserts in magazines. But hey, what do you expect for $7 for 1,000? It met my needs. I don't intend to keep my flash cards for posterity so these index cards fit the bill. Just needed something to help with some Spanish vocabulary and other language assistance. It may be too thin for use with those marker pens, but if you use a regular pen or colored pencil, it does the job. For the price, it is worth it.

Great product
These are great index cards especially since they are blank on both sides !!! I would buy them again.

900 blank index cards, 100 nonsense cards.
I was going to give this a 1 star ranking because I opened one of the packs of 10 and they are not blank. You can see in the images that they seem to have a white line/indentation in them, and it is the whole deck of 100. I checked the others though and see that they are as blank as advertised. Other than the junk pack I got the cards are fine in my opinion, I won't provide any opinion on the thickness as that seems to be preference, and as I said, they are fine to me.

Good Value. Use Pencil!
They are thin. Pen is visible through each card, even with indirect light. I use pencil when I'm making flash cards and this is not visible through the cards, at least not easily.Tons of cards for a great price!

Perfect blank index cards
I don't understand why people give these cards so much grief. They are solid, durable index cards. I have made thousands of flashcards with these and have never had an issue. I use ballpoint pen on both sides and there is no bleed-through.Obviously, if you hold the card up to a backlight, like daylight through a window, the reverse will become more transparent... because it's paper. The card would have to be made heavier in order to avoid this, but that would make it less flexible and more prone to accidental creasing (i.e. *less* resilient). The same applies to trying to write on it with heavy markers and complaining about the bleeding.

Great cards!
These 3x5s are definitely not 'card' in their fullest sense (i.e. thickness) BUT they're good enough. I used Tombow brush pens, POSCA markers, and even type on it using the manual typewriter, and the card survived all that on both sides being used -- no staining. In my opinion, they're excellent and a great value for money. In fact, because it's not as thick as the usual ones I use, I'm not so precious about them and it's liberating. I feel freer to do what I need to do with it (notes, quotes, experimentation), and the outcome has been positive. I like these cards!

Some specs:
This paper is 0.0065" thick, which is the absolute minimum to be called a "card".But it is perfect to serve as grocery lists, or note cards, as it won't crumble at the bottom of your pocket, like thin paper does. The surface is not smooth, rather cheap paper, but it does the job. There is no glue on one edge to keep them together.
