SAMSUNG9 Series 75" Smart TV, QLED 4K UHD 2018 Model

I recently purchased the Samsung QLED 65” Q9F TV for the family room of my home. This is the first 4k resolution TV that I have purchased and it is definitely impressive. The colors are bright and vibrant. The black and white are very crisp and make the picture pop off the screen. No matter if you’re watching football or bad reality TV (I watch both) the picture is absolutely amazing. We have a wide family room and the TV has an ultra-wide viewing angle so the picture looks great from all angles. So, for any other first timer looking for a 4K TV, it’s definitely worth the money and this Samsung is the way to go.Setting up the TV was easy to do. The unboxing of the product was very simple and it arrived without any defects. When setting up the TV, you are walked through a step by step process that is easy to follow and only takes a few minutes. It automatically connected to my other devices. There is also a “SmartThings” app you can download to control this TV as well as other devices. I love apps!The smart TV features are easily accessible. A fun feature is the Q Smart with Bixby voice assistance. This allows you to use voice commands to find and change shows. The entire family loves this feature, especially my small children. I have used this functionality much more than I thought I would.The TV integrates well with other devices. With the One Invisible Connection feature, you have only one cable running from your TV to your other equipment. The cable is also very thin and easy to hide. To me, this is major upgrade from any TV I have even owned. No wires, no messy connections, no confusion on what goes where. I love this! You connect One Invisible Connection cable to the One Connect box. This is where you connect your other devices (Xbox, DVD, etc). No more going behind the TV looking for plugs with a flashlight! The One Connect Box sits with your other devices and is the hub of the system. It’s a simple, convenient and a thoughtful addition for managing your system.I am also very excited about the thickness of the TV. The TV is very thin so it fit nicely on our existing armoire. In the near future, I’m going to remove the armoire because I want to leverage the no gap wall mount that puts the TV flush with the wall.The Samsung QLED 65” TV has a number of modes to optimize my viewing experience. We also use this TV for gaming and love the Game Mode. The TV automatically detects when you are using a game console and puts you in Game Mode. Compared to my previous TV, I feel like I’m in the video game!The Samsung QN65Q9F FLAT 65” QLED 4K UHD 9 Series Smart TV 2018 is the total package. The picture quality is head and shoulders above the rest with its 4K quality. The TV is innovated with the Q Smart with Bixby voice assistance, One Invisible Connection, One Connect box and SmartThings app (just to name a few). All of these features make the TV easy to install and fun to use. Now I want to upgrade all of our TVs. Kudos to Samsung for getting it right!

First, let me say that Beach Camera did an outstanding job trying to solve a problem with the Samsung TV I purchased from them. The TV was missing the ONE Connect cable and Samsung phone support kept giving me the runaround. They would not send me a cable without a copy of the invoice, I scanned it and sent it to the EFax address they gave me, which wrong. I then researched and got the correct address, but they still could not find it, so I sent it for the third time. In the meantime, Beach Camera offered to send me the cable which they did, but unfortunately, it was for last years model which won't work with 2018 models. I finally contact the on-site service center to see if they could help me. After filling out their online form and informing them of my problem, they schedule a service call. When the tech arrived he had a new One Connect Box, think that came with the cable I needed, but that's not the case. He said it might take a few days to get the cable since he wasn't sure they stocked. The next day they called and said they had the cable and would be out the afternoon. When he arrived with the cable, he hooked up the TV, ensured everything was working.As far as the TV is concerned it is great, I love the picture and the brightness, the feature set is excellent. I can go on, but many other reviewers have stated how good this TV is, so I won't waste space repeating the same thing over again.

This TV is “bright”. That’s what I like most about it. The blacks are almost as good as an OLED as well.As long as Samsung keeps supporting this TV in regards to streaming Apps I’ll continue to use it as the apps work well. HBOmax, Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus, YouTube, I’ve had no issue.WiFi connectivity can be a problem when it comes to 4K streaming. The TV does not have WiFi 6. To get the fastest access to streaming I highly recommend the Ethernet option.The glare is also very well concealed as they mention in reviews. I’m able to have a lamp on and not have the light be problematic in reflecting off the screen.I bought this TV “used” and it’s been going strong still to this day. No issue with faulty pixels either.Longevity wise this TV probably has 5+ more years unless technology changes.I highly recommend if you can afford it.

I bought this TV because Samsung claims on its website that this panel has “almost no light reflectivity”. WOW can that be no further from the truth.You can see in the picture I took the window and details of the kitchen in the back clearly reflected. Even at night under dim lights everything is clearly reflected when watching darker scenes. This TV replaced an entry level LCD that is a few years old that was hanging on the same spot that didn’t have anything near this reflectivity. I’m almost wondering if the panel I got is somehow defective or if they failed to put anti reflective coating in this one.For this price, and for a TV that is advertised to perform excellent in bright rooms, this is unacceptable. I will be reaching out to Samsung to see if this is normal and will likely be returning.I will say the TV looks excellent in ZERO light conditions.
