Great mono laser printer
Bought this to replace an Epson colour laser, which did not last very long and was a lot of trouble. Saw this for a good price on Amazon and realised most of my needs for lasers are black and white, - I have other high quality inkjets for colour, and so bought the Samsung. Can't believe how easy to set up and and how fast it is from switch on. So much faster than either of the Epson lasers I had, but then again this has only one toner to use. The replacement toner is not cheap at around £90 but may use a compatible at about half the price when I have to replace the toner. The printer is quite a bit smaller than my Epson, (OK, it again only needs one toner), much lighter, very neat controls and does what I want it to do. The printing is fine, but have not experimented with the controls to see if the print quality can be improved further. It isn't quite as sharp at the edges of text as the previous lasers I have had, but the speed and ease of use makes up for it. It's quiet too, a good bit quieter than the Epsons.I understand it does duplex printing, which can be useful but haven't tried it. I use the printer on a macbook laptop a few years old and connected wired via usb no problem. Checking the toner quantity there seems to be loads left which is better than some makes where they only give you a small quantity of toner to get you going.Have also set it up on an older imac desktop. Have not tried Windows, I try to avoid Windows computers after being a Microsoft fan of many years, I moved over to apple, and have never regretted it. Would buy this printer again, just be interested to see how long it lasts in practice. I don't use it every day, so is not an 'office' machine.

Good solid performing printer.
Excellent. The first cartridge that came with it seems to be lasting well. I particularly like it because of it's second input tray and not theses holes in the front which take just a single sheet of paper. It produces good copies. Very easy to set up.
