I like it good for anything . I garden . I don't think the multi piece for a screwdriver fits the hole took me a while to refer to the pieces how they worked and went where. But I like it. I hope I can chop wood.

Perfect gift for adventure hounds
The kit has just about everything needed for the backwoods adventure lover or just to keep in our RV for emergencies. The compass is accurate. Handy axe is simple to keep clean and a great weight to wield comfortably. Everything has functioned as advertised. A quality versatile set at a fair price.

Good for car camping, not so good for hiking
Too heavy for backpacking and hiking. I had trouble fitting all the sections into the storage bag that came with it and it made a lot of noise when packed up due to pieces bumping against each other. The axe section is not very usable for splitting wood because it has no wedge shape, it's flat until you get to the hammer part of the axe at the back end and when you split wood that hammer section will catch on the wood and you will not be able to split past it. The shovel section seems usable and the rest of the staff piece worked okay. I can't see it being used as a hiking staff though due to it's weight.

Survival shovel
Seems well built I'm not going to complain about weight because it states it. Seems ready to be tried out

Nice but not strong
I put 3 extensions on the ax head and swung it at a piece of wood and the threads snapped. I didn't use full force and now I know I can't. It's a cool product but it broke on first use

Fully functional tools
I have tried quite a few of these kinds of tools and this is easily the best one.The only things I would complain about are just my own preference. I'm not a big fan of the shape of the hatchet's cutting blade. It is still completely functional and that shape actually lets it be used as a knife as well. My only other concern is that the sections might have a tendency to come unscrewed. But the sections don't get stuck together and impossible to get apart either. So it really isn't actually a problem. Just make sure you don't twist it the wrong direction while using it. I also have NEVER used the "wrench" holes that they included in the saw blade and hatchet attachment. I don't see those actually being useful but they don't damage functionality too much. I do wish they hadn't put holes in my shovel for such a useless feature when they also have them in the hatchet blade. But it is such a common feature now that everybody includes it.Everything else about this is PERFECT.They included enough sections to make a really decent walking stick. Over 53 inches. I am only 5'4" so it is more than tall enough for me. (Take the piece off the shovel and it gives you the full length and is perfect for the walking stick end cap.)There are enough sections to give you good length for using both the shovel and hatchet at the same time. Or you get a really long handle on your shovel or hatchet. They designed it so well! The shovel has other built in features. One side has a saw and the other side can be used as a hatchet as well. I have never used the saw on any of my shovels. But the cutting blade side is extremely useful. The extra little tools that they included all make sense. There is a ferro rod, a whistle, a screwdriver, a window breaker, and a compass. The compass does work. They are all accessible easily at the top end. There is a hole in the handle so you can add a loop of rope. I am really happy they included that feature as I do like having a loop to help me hold on.They also included a small first aid kit as a really cool bonus. And the stuff in the kit is actually all useful stuff. Except for the plastic tweezers. Those are useless. But everything else makes it a really good basic kit. There is so much about this tool that you just have to try it out to appreciate how good it is. This tool will be going with me on every camping trip and I am going to get a lot of use out of it. The quality is excellent. You won't be disappointed.Five stars.
