I got a bunch of these to prep for a big camping trip where some people were inexperienced campers and didn't have gear. Cheap enough to hand out several, durable enough that they're hard to break, battery life is long enough for people who are careless. The best part is the changeable lenses - super easy, and you can just stick red lenses on them before you hand them out if you don't want people killing your night vision all the time. Bright enough to be a solid upgrade from incandescents, but not at all blinding. I imagine these would be great for kids.

These are really nice lights. I live in the woods and in a great night sky area. Using the red lens works great for seeing at night without a clear light disrupting your vision of the stars. These adjust from a broad light to a narrow view. I have a screen porch. A broad flashlight shining through screen just reflects back but with a twist to narrow the beam you can shine through the screen and see what is in the yard. The magnetic end cap works great for sticking a flashlight where you can find it. Good value for a pair of nice lughts.

This is a very bright flashlight. I love how the light can cover a broad area and the removable red filter was just what I was looking for.I give it four stars because the moving part that adjusts the focus feels loose like it’s made cheaply but not like it’s right about to come apart. You can pick up a very similar one that is more solidly built for a few dollars more. I also wish that when you turned the flashlight back on it would be on the last setting used instead of cycling through them.I chose this product because of the red filter to preserve my night vision when looking at astronomy star charts. I like that you can attach these red filters so that it is not a setting you have to cycle through like another flashlight I own that has four colors. This one is also much brighter.

Very solid quality. They came with an adaptor to use AAA batteries in case your 18650 battery is dead. They are not really 3 color per se. You get all three colors but that is via swapping out the lens caps. Which are high quality and thread in very securely. I like that it includes a sleeve for the 18650 battery to keep it from moving inside the housing. The light from the RED and/or GREEN is less than the full clear lens but plenty bright for what is needed. All in all, I love them.

I got my two pack yesterday so this isn't a long term review. General observations are that the lights seem solid, and have a positive click tail cap mounted switch. I like the color options and the green and red lenses screw in place of the regular clear lens. That's all positive. For general use, navigating a sidewalk or driveway, using around the campsite, etc. I think these would be fine. Where I'm disappointed is with the throw, or distance. Yes, you can zoom the light, which gives you a more focused light for longer distance. But it's the square shaped beam that I thought was an artifact of the past. You have a very tight square of light with little side spill so it makes very limited in what you see. My Coasts and Streamlight LEDs have a much better balance of throw and spill for distance use. Admittedly, both cost more than the Ultrafires though. The main reason I bought these was to use the red lens for watching animals at night but with the tight square beam and limited throw they aren't great for that.

The higher frequency (whiter) light and better telescopic focus make this a better fit for us than some other well respected and less costly brands. We are happy. (It will not likely be used for hunting, unless we are talking about lost keys or the like 😉)

I like that I can switch colors. The lenses screw on easily and tightly. They are glass. I like that I can focus it to a narrow circle and a good distance. It is goes much farther than ordinary flashlights. while staying bright. Even the strobe mode goes a long distance. I was able to use it to scare off a bear with the strobe without being anywhere near the bear. It is lightweight for having a metal case. It is a good size for the car, pocket, purse, backpack. These are a good value for the price. I recommend them.
