After 3 uses I can already see a difference.

I bought the regular Pure almost 2 years ago and it definitely did it’s job, but it ran out of flashes and even though it worked I still need periodic maintenance so I bought the pure mini-not the same! Works fine for maintenance on legs but it has left my under arms very burnt. And on the regular pure I never even used the gentle setting. I guess it’s cheaper for a reason-very disappointed

This is a FDA cleared IPL device which helps with hair removal. It is ergonomically designed and you can move it around your body easily. You need to follow the user guide to get the best results as the website clearly describes what works with even pictures of skin tones and hair color.Each time, you need to ensure that skin tone sensor is illuminated while pressing firmly to your skin. it is not suitable to use on birthmarks, tattoos, moles, freckles and permanent make-up. As I stated before, please refer to user guide as it includes all the safety information that you need.As a person who used Brown IPL device in the past, this is not as strong as Brown. This device also comes only with one standard head and I would prefer another size head that I could change to meet my needs. I definitely see some hair reduction but it is not as strong as my Brown IPL device. With that being said, this is much more affordable and easy to carry during travel. It would be a great option for beginners.

Compared to other IPL hair treatment devices in the same price range this IPL device is missing many of the features. Other similarly priced devices have features like cooling for reducing discomfort, or digital displays for power levels and number of laser flashes. It does have a sensor that determines the intensity needed based on your skin tone, and I like the small size which makes handling it easy. I have noticed that it takes some time to treat larger areas like legs.

This is very small, so it's perfect for holding for long periods of time without getting tired. It's also ideal for hard-to-reach spots, like underarms or the bikini line - or even the dreaded upper lip fuzz. The cord is long enough that you can use it comfortably on the sofa without stretching too far. It's also very quiet, so you can watch TV or listen to a podcast while using it without issue. The light, as with all similar items, is bright, so you MUST wear protective glasses. I have dark hair on light skin so it works perfectly for me. On a pain level, I don't find it to be much of anything, even on the highest level. As for effectiveness, after consistent use over several months, I have noticed a significant decrease in hair in the areas where I used it - the hair is not completely gone, but it is at least 80% lighter.

Honestly it is hard to assess how well this works because I'm not sure I use it consistently enough. I've also had professional laser hair removal done before so I had to adjust my expectations for an at-home device. I've done a round of accutane since then though, and my skin is more sensitive than it was before. So, a gentler device is probably best for me right now even if the results may be slower. This device has not irritated my skin and it's easy to use. There was a time I was pretty sure I went over the same patch of skin too many times as it felt slightly burnt/tingly immediately after use, but that went away quickly and did not cause any discoloration or irritation. I can't say that I've noticed a reduction in hair growth but again, I've not been very consistent. Will update the review when I've completed more sessions!

You have to be dedicated about using this to get the desired results. They aren't kidding in the instructions. I have had good success with my underarms. My legs already don't grow a lot of hair so I'm not sure if it's this or just my body making it so I can go weeks between shaves. :) My underarms, however, used to grow hair pretty fast. Now it's a lot slower, and less dense. I do think you should wear eye protection when using this, if you're looking at where you're aiming, you'll get a little bit of light leakage when you activate the device, and I can't imagine it's good for your eyes at all! When it activates I do feel a very quick "burn" feeling, but it immediately goes away and doesn't last for me. They're open about the possible side effects in the literature, and I strongly encourage anyone using this to read all the warnings and directions.
