Neat Piece of Kit - works well
A little bit expensive but worth every penny. Plugged it in and worked first time. Fast switching and reliable. Neat piece of kit.

Very disappointed...
..... came well packaged and upon opening found a very well made and good looking 'bit of kit', i looked forward to installing it however it has fallen over on a couple of points so far,1 the power cable came with an USA type two pin plugs, not good enough for a UK market.2 The upgrade cable came with an RS 232 connector with no adapter for usb's.3 I bought this item because i was assured by a professional kvm man that it would work with WiFi mice/keyboards, the mouse is iffie, works after a fashion and the keyboard not at all, when i contacted Aten they said they were aware of this problem and were investigating, mean while Im left in the same position i was in before i bought it, not good for a switch that costs this much.Ill give it a couple of days before I return it.

good but few issues.
Hi,I thought I would write a quick review of this KVM switch after now owning it for a while.my setupPC - ATI 5770 graphicsMac Mini 2010 hdmi versionprosthe switch is small with very good build quality and very easy to use. The hdmi cables that are bundled with it also carry audio (hdmi 1.3 spec) but also has additional speaker and mic cables attached to the bundled hdmi cable. also has separate option for speaker switching and usb switching i.e. i can be on port 1 and use the usb from port 2 (only one at a time not together)this also has additional port at the back for peripherals and the keyboard and mouse are at the back too.build quality is great and it nice and small so can fit under the moditor depending on the monitor you have.cons1) does not work with older DVI card using an adaptor (ati 2900XT) i was advised by ATen support to purchase a quality DVI to HDMI adaptor which i did a belkin and monster one but still the same issue then i was advised by Aten support that i needed to by a converter at £30+ which i declined after paying so much for the switch itself - have not tested on Nvidia cards.2) this is a weird one port 1 = PC and Port 2 = Mac. for some reason the switch always reverts to port 2 and even though i switch port 1 on it does NOT automatically revert to the active device even though the mac is switched off, I have to manually switch it - after investigating i found that the even if i take the power cable out the mac it still does the same only when i take out the hdmi does it revert back to port 1 (PS i have tried swapping the cables around same issue and i have also re flashed the unit after speaking to Aten support and still same issue. In my opinion it does not work correctly with Mac's and has only one firmware which was dated 2009.

Buggy keyboard input
I bought this product to connect 2 PC's to one monitor/keyboard/mouse. I was impressed with the build quality and the fact that all the cables needed were supplied. It connects up fairly easily and I was up and running within 30 mins. However, and this is where the product lets me down. When typing, some of the keys work incorrectly. I found myself having to correct missing and sometimes incorrect characters during typing out documents.I initially thought that it was me having a bad day but if I held down a key on my keyboard and let it auto-repeat I could see different characters being typed.I replaced the keyboard thinking that it could be this but no, it happened again using a different keyboard.I would certainly not recommend this product.
