I bought this, because I have problems with my finger joints and can't play most chords on the guitar anymore because of arthritis in my fingers. I have played for about 45 years. This has been a big part of my life and it has been upsetting about not being able to play. I saw this and decided to try it. I bought the advanced package. I feel the book and the DVD helped with the set up, it was worth the extra money to buy the beginning book and DVD, though I was able to skip the basic guitar info. I had to get used to the basic main bar first, but then got it pretty fast, playing all major and minor chords and got used to playing with it. Now I am trying out the pinkys and am getting pretty good at playing songs with 7th, 6ths, etc. I can't believe I can play guitar again. Its a cool device and very well thought out and ingenious method. I really liked using the rock pinky as I was able to play a rock n roll rhythm up and down the keyboard and play a nice blues progression. I still miss playing the regular way, but thus gives me a second chance. I also liked that I could play a few lead notes with my free fingers.

thoroughly impressed. had been playing guitar my entire life before i started working in some pretty labor intensive jobs. developed some serious carpal tunnel in both my wrists, suffered some injuries, etc. i could still play, but not without my hands and forearms hurting beyond what i wanted to deal with.ive had this for a few hours now and back to playing like i used to. there is a learning curve, but practice practice practice. thank you so much.

Great sound

I got this for myself, I have some musical background and knew at one point in my life how to play a few basic guitar chords but that was it. After I got it all set up and learned about it, I can now sit down and play the songs in the book for real! Like actually play them the way the song it supposed to go! My two daughters, ages 11 and 9, love to play it also, and after they watched me play and showed them briefly how to do it, they now pick up the guitar and play and sing often, I love it!!You are still playing and learning an instrument so any of it takes practice of course. Practicing strumming, placement of the rock-it barre, holding it down with the correct amount of pressure, tuning, etc.... takes practice and the more I have played it or they have played, the better it sounds. So cool you really can play all the major and minor chords so easily!!! That covers most songs out there!!
