They are a great value for the $$ at $27 (I know they ...
Receive these yesterday, put batteries in and tested them all = they all work. They are a great value for the $$ at $27 (I know they are a little cheaper at Costco but Costco doesn't ship a lot of things to FPO addresses like Amazon will so its not worth paying the membership fees to them).I like how it turns on to the low setting first to conserve battery life but I wished it would turn off in between each setting like my TerraLUX300 will.Overall, these are brighter than my 300 Lumen TerraLUX 2AA light and the 3 pack cost just a few bucks more than what I got the TerraLUX on sale for as well!I got these to use with rechargable AAA batteries and my portable solar panel.I was considering an Inova T2 for $23 (NIB clearance price) when I found this pack for just a few bucks more.I like the fact that these use AAA batteries vise the C123's so they are easier to find replacements and this 3 pack is equally bright to the T2 light.Time will tell but I'm hopeful these hold up well to my usage.

INCREDIBLE LIGHT but BATTERIES DON"T LAST
I love these little lights. They're very small and EXTREMELY bright. They throw a light beam a good distance and can take a beating. They have 3 "on" modes and 1 "momentary" mode. The "on" modes are low:50%, high:100%, and strobe: fast flashing. If you press and hold the button on the back, the light will come on 100% until you let go the button. Kind of a cool, momentary thing. Arrived when promised in retail packaging with 9 AAA batteries for all 3 lights. All that being said, i have to say that these little things will eat the 3-AAA batteries up, if stored with them installed. My advice; if these are going in a bug-out-bag or some other long-term storage type deal, tape the batteries to the light instead of having them inside. BUT they seem to last around 3-4 weeks if moderately used and kept inside the light. But using one for work i had to buy the 3 pack for the cars and house, knowing what they can do! A great buy and i WILL buy again!

Okay for the price, but a little dodgy
I had the previous version of these from the same company, and purchased them from Costco several years ago and absolutely fell in love with them. Costco no longer carries them, and mine ended up being given to my parents and girlfriend leaving me with one, and I thought it'd be worth getting another pack to have them laying about as spares. These however are not the same quality, They are still that rugged aluminum though they aren't quite up to par with the original ones I'd purchased. These no longer have the scalloped edges around the light end, and the button isn't entirely consistent with the pressure and timing it requires to operate the lights. I have had them for a couple of weeks and one is no longer turning on; it turned on for a second at full brightness and then went dark and won't come back on. It could be a fluke that this one is defective, or it could be indicative of future failures. In general, they are very bright, resistant to standard abuses, though they have a short battery life. They are definitely a pretty great bang for the buck, so to say.

Best flashlights I have ever owned!
These are great for shops, tools kits, camping, anything! SUPER BRIGHT!!!! They will drain batteries if you store them for a long period of tim with batteries in them but I cut the plastic packaging they came in into circles the size of the inside tube and placed it on top of the battery pack to prevent the batteries from draining (making a connection) when I store them or I knew I was not going to be using them for awhile(several months). There is also some videos online on how to change the 3 mode switch to an on/off switch, I have done it to one of these and it works great and also prevents battery drainage over time! I paired these with some Eneloop batteries and use them for everything! I usually have to charge my batteries every 3-5 months when using these a few times a week. These flashlights also will withstand almost anything! I break flashlights fairly often, most only last about a month or two then stop working for whatever reason but I have a set of the older version of these that I have had for 2 years that are still working great and I have had these newer versions for quite awhile also and they are still going strong! Highly recommend!

actually better than I expected for my intended purpose
When I first got these flashlights I was so excited. They worked perfectly, actually better than I expected for my intended purpose. However, with in a week 1 of the flash lights stopped turning on, and became unreliable. Within week two I was having trouble with the remaining 2. I wasn't using the flashlights on a daily basis, probably 2 times a week for rehearsals and even that wasn't for extended periods of time. When the time came for the lights to be used in the performance I had serious anxiety about weather the last 2 would work. One did and the other didn't. During the performance! I would have purchased more because the price was right and I was in a pinch but I wasn't sure I would get them in time for the performance. This is a classic case of you get what you pay for.If the bargain seems too good to be true, it probably is. LOL.

Awesome but...
There are great. This is the same light sold under the Duracell name. I bought 2 of these 3-packs and have one Duracell from before. I am a Realtor and offer thee to my Buyers when we are looking at a home. I've only lost 2 so far :^). The switch has 3 positions, low beam, high beam and strobe. I can't really see a need for the strobe light which I always have to click thru. Kinda irritating when you turn it on and off a lot to conserve batteries. But the big issue I've has is that 2 of them stopped working. One started working OK after a few days, and the other one was replaced, free, by the manufacturer (Called the 800 number on the package.) But is is a super bright light that you can easily carry in your pocket or purse.
