AMZ1 Bundle: 2 x 10 packs of our DECIMATOR cutters (BT40D) Pro' Head (BTHD1)

Purchased to clear allotment that had not been fully used for a few years. Much better than the normal strimmer head and worked very well on my 30cc 2 stroke strimmer but performance improved greatly when tried on a 50cc strimmer but would still recommend the product.

This does what is says on the tin, but don't expect to much, after half hour hard strimming I decimated two decimators by using it on brambles, OK they do not claim it will cut brambles but at this time of year when the brambles are soft and green they do cut easily even with a nylon cord. The blue and red cutters are probably not worth bothering with if you have the decimator, I guess they sell them in these bundles to get rid of the plastic ones now the decimator is available. Expensive for what it is.

The head is easy to fit, the cutters are easy to fit or change. They do a great job cutting grass and weeds down......but I do a lot of work in graveyards, cutting around headstones and walls......they don't last very long at all, certainly not long enough to warrant the price as |I need to make a profit!! It costs over £10 in cutters or about £2 in strong cord ( which is not as easy to change) so I have no choice.

This is a great piece of kit. It saves the time consuming effort of removing the strimmer head & the fiddly rewinding of the spool not to mention refitting whilst trying to hold the spool together. I would recommend this to anyone with a motor strimmer / brush cutter as it really does "what it says on the tin".

No more faff on trying to wind on a nylon line and then having it bind and break and be just an incredible pain in the ass! This unit really does take the stress out of line switching and almost adds and element of fun. One word of caution, don't let the nylon rods get too short or they can be forced backwards and under the connection section of the two discs and need prising out! I prefer the steel cable version which really whacks though almost anything, but even these wear over about an hours use, but, as said before, renewing them is easy!

Great product, however it doesn't fit the Kaaz Danarm VR 48 commercial brush cutter head guard cover as it's less than 20cm from the spool. Perhaps a published list of suitable products would be a good recommendation.

Disappointing, my usual nylon cord is better and lasts longer. (Oregon Nylium 2.7mm) These don't last long, even just on long grass and bramble. Once they lose a bit of length they are completely useless. They are not cost effective at all. Stick to a bump feed head and try the 2.7mm cord mentioned above.
