Easy to instal with good instructions and an easy to use mini disk for the driver - which covers everything from XP to win7. Don't get the cheap ones, go for one which will definitely work.This took minutes to instal and load - and the legacy hardware works just fine with a reclaimed and restored vista machine

This PCI add on is perfect if like me you have a computer with no RS232 ports, it works a treat and is very fast for RS232 input and output.I purchased this add on port to use for access to my recently acquired radio system, and the whole thing worked perfectly straight out of the box.Although software is provided for operating systems older than Windows XP, if you are running Windows XP or higher mine is Windows 7 this hardware is just plug and play.The operating system will find it and install the drivers automatically so it just runs as soon as you turn boot up your computer.

No problems installing. Works as expected, allowing me to connect my two radio transceivers to my computer.

RS232 is not used greatly now, and PCI cards supporting RS232 are a dying bread. I needed an RS232 port to connect a telescope to. For some reason a lot of telescope company's still think RS232 is a valid communication format, even though most laptops, tablets and PC's no longer support it. Luckily my PC had a PCI slot free on it's mother board, so I was able to plug this card in. The card worked well and without virtually any setting up Windows 7 detected the card and thus allowed a connection to my telescope. So for those of you wanting a trip back in time I recommend this card for a journey into the fun that is 'coms' on a Windows computer.

I have bought two of these cards so I can connect 3 amatuer radios to my PC's to give me control via Ham Radio Deluxe.Very simple to set up and use

No problems in the set up. No problems detected. Its a working card that runs equipment in the laboratory adequately.

Es gibt nicht viel zu sagen. Läuft perfekt auf unserem Windows 7 Prof 64bit System, einrichtung war ohne Aufwand möglich.

This dual serial port card is great. The packaging emphasizes compatibility with a variety of [worthless] windows releases, but it works flawlessly with real operating systems, also. (In my case Fedora 14.) It just worked right out of the box, no drivers, no setup, just plugged it in, booted up the box, and the operating system showed two more serial ports. It comes with half height mounting brackets if needed, so it will fit any PC with a spare PCI slot.I've found USB to DB9 serial connectors to be flaky, but this solution was inexpensive and appears to be rock-solid.

Funcionó a la primera en Ubuntu. El manual que acompaña es una castaña. Pero lo importantebes quefunciona a la primera y el sistema lo reconoció nada más arrancar.

La scheda funziona correttamente con ubuntu 15.04 ed i programmi radioamatoriali che utilizzo (CQRLOG, FLDIGI etc.), una volta inserita non ho più dovuto dare la caccia al nome della porta come mi accadeva con gli adattatori USB
