First impressions- heavy. Now that might not particularly point to sturdiness of the chain links but it's a good sign.Love the blue color and the cloth isn't rough to the touch. The combination lock works just fine and the numbers are bigger than on other chains. These seem to be just as much of a deterrent as U locks but definitely not for leaving outside overnight.

Excellent heavy duty lock. Of course, no lock is unbreakable, but the thick fabric covering over this makes them work really hard and possibly catch someone's attention. We used it when we went to Mackinac, to lock our bikes overnight when we were in the hotel - mostly just to keep someone from "accidentally" riding away on our bikes. The locking mechanism is very smooth and secure. I'd feel confident using this lock to chain up my bike if I were just running into a shop for 1/2 or so.

I bought these for my 7 year old twins and they love the vibrant colors. The locks appear to work and I like the flexibility a chain provides to lock to a pole, bike rack or to our other bikes. The downfall are the tumblers. They are a bit sticky and the numbers are only painted on...unfortunately, they have already started to flake a little. This is a good bang for the buck and the ability to set their own locks was the clincher for the twins!

I bought two of them and I love them. They are exactly as described and don't make any sound when wrapped properly around the bike while driving. Long enough and very easy to open / close and also to adjust the code. Very happy with it so far.Also check the attached video which is also on YouTube with much higher resolution.

A quick and easy solution for coffee shop runs or other short term stops! Isn’t too heavy so I can toss it in my backpack if needed. I only use as a secondary lock for overnight lockups as it doesn’t seem totally secure for long term without help.

It's very sturdy and safe. Pretty heavy.The only thing the color faded really fast and I figured there's no need to pick colorful one. I think black would have been better.It doesn't make the lock working any worse of course, but if you pick something bright you want it to be bright.

this lock is just big enough to fit around my waist, which means i can ride without having to worry about my U-lock falling out of my pocket. i can ride to school, lock up my bike and get on the way to class without having to open my backpack and dig around for my lock and keys. easy to adjust the combination, very sturdy, would buy again.

got 2 of these for my 2 sons bikes and scooters. easy to use and to reset your own personal combination. my older son saw juveniles eyeing his bike to steal it at the village pool when working and they were deterred by this lock till he yelled at them to leave or he'd call the cops. no lock will 100% prevent bike theft. for the price - quality of materials - and performance - you can't beat the Beeway Bike Lock.
