How far are you supposed to stand away from it?

For the axes I find 6-8 feet to be optimal. For the arrows, usually 8-10 feet because of the increased velocity the bow is capable of firing at.

Can i order replacement axes?

I sent the one I ordered back because it was missing parts. I had bought it for my grandsons birthday and was so disappointed when he opened it and it wasn't all there.

Can you practice throwing real knives with this?

No, the target isn't meant for real knives. It's a soft plastic backing with two inch bristles that the arrow heads and axe heads stick in with friction. There are similar targets that do come with throwing knives and throwing stars but they are the same foam/plastic material, not actual metal blades.
