Great addition to the kitchen
Love this rice cooker! It's simple and straightforward. Have attempted to cook quinoa and porridge in it as well which didn't go too well. The porridge (oats) leaked out of the cooker and the quinoa was overcooked and soggy. Both of these could've been user error. But, we're using it for rice as the main purpose and it comes out magnificent every time. Can easily feed 4 people with generous portions or 6 smaller portions.

Makes rice well and saves space
Nothing beats walking into the kitchen, boots still muddy from Bennachie, and finding perfectly fluffy rice waiting. The little 2 L Midea cooker has taken pride of place next to the toaster, yet it barely nicks any worktop space. I usually drop in four cups of basmati with water, hit the quick cook button then go hose down the dog, by the time I’m back ‒ about half an hour ‒ dinner’s half done. The thick-walled bowl heats evenly so every grain finishes at the same moment, no crunchy surprises round the edge. And cleaning is a two-minute job, the non stick coating just wipes, even after stickier brown rice. My daughter tried the steam tray for broccoli – worked a treat, though my son was more interested in making dinosaur footprints in the cooked rice. So quality feels solid, buttons respond first tap and nothing has scorched. For something that costs less than one takeaway, it’s a smart bit of kit.

Brilliant Product
So impressed with this product ,perfect rice everytime Used to do fried rice in frying pan with all the different aspects to pull the meal together and now put all the ingredients in the one pot, less washing up and just before the end, put the beaton eggs on top and it tastes so good, and it keeps the food warm at the end without drying it out ,my fussy Grandson said it best fried rice he had and not had one rice dish not turn out perfect and definitely enough for 2-3 people I have not tried the other functions yet ,steamer or slow cooker so not just a rice cooker ,but definitely pleased I brought this product ,yes you can get a cheaper rice cooker ,but they dont have as many functions as this one, so would definitely recommend this product

Cooks rice perfectly, but minimum portion is quite large
I bought this for my elderly mum and it took her a few attempts to get used to using it, but now she absolutely loves it. She says the rice comes out cooked perfectly and she’s really pleased with the results. Once she got the hang of the controls, she found it straightforward enough to use. The only downside for her is the portion size. Even using the minimum amount, it makes more rice than she needs for one person, so it may be better suited to two people or anyone happy to keep leftovers. Overall, a very good little rice cooker that produces great rice, but the minimum quantity is worth bearing in mind if you’re cooking just for yourself.

Great, easy to use
Feels very sturdy and well built, easy to use with clear measures, very easy to clean, cooks rice really well, so much more convenient than traditional ways of cooking rice

Okay multi‑cooker but has small flaws
This Midea 1.8L multi‑rice cooker works fine overall. It has an LED screen, timer and a steaming rack, and the black removable non‑stick inner pot is super easy to clean. It offers 11 handy cooking modes. Still, two things bother me. First, steam leaks a little while cooking. Second, the non‑stick surface scratches easily if I use metal spoons. It is decent for daily use, just do not expect perfect quality.

Product feedback
The rice cookers looks very good. The problem I see now is that the power head is European one not Australian one. So can't be used here

Not durable, poor customer service
Less than 1 year old with moderate use and careful cleaning the rice cooker is rusty. The steam valve has developed cracks and doesn't close properly any more. I contacted their contacted customer service to see what can be done. The reply was that the rust issue shown is "non-technical" and directed me to a third party to source a replacement steam valve. The third party website doesn't even stock this brand. Genuinely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Avoid this product and all others from this brand
