I recently installed the Govee Smart Outdoor String Lights in my backyard, and I gotta say, they’ve totally transformed my space! Setting them up was a breeze; I just followed the straightforward instructions. The smart app is user-friendly, and I loved being able to customize the colors and patterns to match my mood or the occasion. What really impressed me was the brightness. They illuminate my patio perfectly without being overwhelming. I’ve used them for a cozy dinner with friends, and they created such a warm atmosphere. Plus, the fact that I can control them from my phone is a game changer. I can adjust the settings right from my seat! The build quality seems solid, and they’ve held up well to some light rain, which is a plus. I appreciate how energy-efficient they are too. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend these lights if you’re looking to add some charm to your outdoor space. They make nights on the patio feel extra special!

These lights are basically my new best friends. They hooked up to Alexa without a hitch and now I feel like a wizard commanding them with my voice. I hung them outside and they light up my patio like a low-key disco—great colors, great vibes. Installation was stupid easy with the included tie straps, though I’ll probably swap them for something fancier later. (The tie straps work fine, but they scream ‘temporary fix.’) Only gripe? I wish they were a tad brighter. Still, they’re staying up because they look amazing and Alexa and I are having way too much fun with them.

I have purchased quite a few items from Govee and for the most part, have not had any issues, however their customer service is horrible. I have had this item for about 11 months and the adaptor has quite working and needs to be replaced. Did all the problem research, disconnect and reconnect, click the reset button for 10 second. Nothing worked. Called customer service and they had me complete an online form. They told me they would review and send out the new part since it was under the one year warranty. Then I get an email stating they want a video of what is wrong. No, I cannot take a video. So I called again and asked to speak with a supervisor, they said they would need to complete a request and send to a supervisor and they would call me in 24 hours. This problem has been going on for two weeks. There seems to be an issue with Govee outdoor light products as we have had issues with other products filling up with water, but that was covered under warranty and they did send out new lights. I am not asking for the whole light strand, just the adaptor.

I was a little skeptical at the beginning. My installation of the lights had the power switch located only reachable by a ladder. I had reached out to Govee support to see if they can provide/sell one segment of the cable so that i can easily reach the on/off switch. The longer the length, they add more segments and the on/off switch is just another segment that connects. Unfortunately, Govee said they do not have segments that that they could provide/sell. I would recommend that they add this cable extension as an offering. So I attempted setup knowing that I could not be able to reach the on/off switch unless a ladder is present. The light setup is easy and works great. I don't have wifi internet at the location but every time I'm within range with my phone, my phone pairs to the lights without issue and I have immediate control of the lights. Since I have setup the lights, I have not had to press the on/off button to sync to my phone. This has been fantastic and what I needed since they could not provide/sell a basic extension link for the lights to relocate the on/off switch. The only things that I wish was different, if I set the lights to the music setting, it disregards my bulb color configuration and the lights change color through the rainbow. I would prefer if I had a certain light color configuration that the music setting would honor the light bulb color configuration. Other than that, the lights are awesome and I would recommend!

Really cool product. We did a major backyard reno project, and these new smart lights are the biggest "hit" of the whole thing, for only <$150. They're about twice the price of standard white LED string lights for the same length, but IMO certainly worth the extra. In addition to white, these can also do any color - You can pick any spot on a color wheel on the app to set all lights to that color. Every light is also individually customizable. It comes with ~50 preset themes, many of which have some degree of motion (some too much!), and you can program customized themes as well, such as red/white/blue or purple/orange for certain holidays, etc. In addition to providing ambience, these lights provide some fun entertainment themselves, as I'll find myself just sitting out back and playing with the app for kicks. Brightness is adjustable too, and they're bright enough that we have to dumb it down below 100% for most color themes. One thing to note: You can't just string together as many of these as you want like typical light strands that only have a power requirement, because smart lights also have a controller requirement that talks to each light. This set can do 1, 2, or 3 strands of 50 ft for up to 150 ft. I did have the same problem one other reviewer mentioned, where after a week they started randomly flashing real bad. Thought it was buggy and was about to return. But I noticed that the first strand was fine, the flashies were occurring every bulb after the first-to-second strand connection, and it had also rained recently. So I thought maybe moisture got in that connection. Unconnected, let it dry for a couple days, reconnected, ensured it was super tight, and sealed the connection with electrical tape to prevent moisture from getting in. Fixed it and have been running fine for 2 weeks since. Now all my connections have the same treatment. Hopefully that keeps the issue away, as it really is a neat product.

The bulbs themselves look modern and attractive, and the overall setup gives the backyard a very clean and upscale appearance at night. Overall, these are some of the best outdoor string lights I’ve owned, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to add customizable smart lighting and a more enjoyable atmosphere to their outdoor space.

I love being able to change lights so easily. They look nice and I love changing the colors for different holidays or times of the year.

These lights are easy to hang and include clips to further make the effort easier. They fit perfectly into a 10x10 gazebo attached to the struts. As advertised you can control the color and brightness of the lights. down to the individual globe, (maybe overkill). But, the App is easy to install and connect to. Many themes and preconfigured settings you can take advantage of with timers. The cost is higher than many similar products, but not by much. This is a solid product, works as advertised, and a great investment.

I purchased these earlier this summer. I have them on my patio now for about three (3) months and I am using them daily. They work great, good quality and I am not expecting any trouble. I installed these using a separate purchased kit on Amazon with the cable and hooks to hang these lights on. This is highly recommended because you can create a tight and straight line to simply hang the lights on. This way there is no strain on the Govee wire which carries the electrical power.

These lights are absolutely beautiful and amazing. Customer service is the best of the best. This is a solid product. Govee has amazing quality lights for the price. There is an amazing community within the app which could be overwhelming at times, but there is tons of help in the community. I have several Govee products and the addiction is on! Bright lights, great scences and very programmable. And for that reason I'm in!

Very disappointed with these after all the issues recently with the spot lights.. now these are filling with water. 50% lights dont work in less than 1yr outdoor usage. Algae even growing in a few :(
