Easy to use, blade locks so easy to use, with it being magnetic I can easily find it when needed instead of digging through a drawer.

This little blade is efficient and effective for my new hobby as a bread baker. I do wish the blade would stick out a little more, to create a deeper design. It comes with a stack of blades as well. I love the fact that it’s magnetic and I could just keep it on the fridge. Since I have the tendency to lose things quick.

So far it the wife loves it for her sour dough bread.

Simply put, the Giying6 Magnetic Bread Lame Dough Scoring Tool is small—too small. I found that I wanted to place my finger over the blade to make the lame more stable. I have an average build, and my hands aren't overly large, so I believe many people will also find the size of this lame an issue. The slide also stuck—it would work, but the next time, it would only contract halfway or expose the tip of the blade. On the positive side, it scored the bread well and came with extra blades. I can't recommend the Giying6 Magnetic Bread Lame - it's an accident waiting to happen. When I find something similar in a larger size, I'll order it.

It's handy because it's small and I've used it to score a lot of bread. It might just be my personal opinion but I'd like the blade to be slightly longer to score a little deeper.

Works great and very inexpensive.

This bread making tool is small, measuring only 1 3/8” wide x 2 1/4” long x almost 3/8” thick, and weighing only .53 ounce. It comes with a two-edged flat razor blade already installed and an additional 5 paper wrapped replacement blades. The 1/2” magnet is enclosed inside so it can hang on the refrigerator or other ferrous surface. There is also a 4mm hole through which you can hang it on a nail or place a string or other hanging device so it can be placed upon a hook. The instructions for replacing the blades are graphical and very simple to follow. There are no instructions for use, but if you purchase a bread lame, presumably you have a use for it and directions are in your bread recipe.This lame makes very precise slashes in homemade breads. The blade is very sharp and is deployed by pushing up on the slide button. It is on a spring so it automatically retracts after releasing the button. The way you expose the blade keeps your fingers of the working hand away from the sharp edges. It takes a bit of force to keep the blade deployed so you cannot accidentally open it. There is 3/4” inch of razor blade exposed when in use, so there is plenty of room to make neat slashes and designs on your loaves. I like this tool. It does a good job on my homemade bread loves, making much neater cuts than a knife, and it seems to help the loaves expand better in the oven.
