Awesome!
These are great! Work and fit perfectly on our 99 svt cobra. It does have a wing, and it still opens perfectly. I definitely reccomend these.

Trunk no longer falls on head
After multiple hits to the head I finally decided to fix my trunk. Before, I would have to put the trunk up then quickly turn around, grab a bag of groceries, spin back, throw it in my trunk, then catch the trunk before it fell. My success rate for catching the trunk lid had dropped to 42%. The other 50% of the time the trunk would slam shut. The final 8% of the time I took a blow to the head. It lifts with only a single finger now with nearly 0% chance of head trauma.

Replaced my trunk struts
The install was straightforward. It took me about 5 minutes to do the swap. The gas struts works as advertised but I do not know the longevity of these struts. Only time will tell.

Perfect OEM quality replacement
These struts are perfect and a direct replacement for 1999-2004 mustang trunk lids. I knew my old ones were going bad, and these replacements made a world of difference. Direct replacement, no alterations or adjustments needed. Comes with instructions and easy to install. It takes less than 5 minutes to do this replacement and only requires a small flat head screwdriver. You can install these by yourself, but it can go smoother with an extra set of hands to help support the trunk lid. Highly recommended.
