Web site and mobile app is superior to other companies
Buying one of these trackers can be confusing because there are several different companies that market units like this that all look identical. The hardware is essentially the same. The difference in what you get for your money is in the web site. Covert Wireless is an American company. They have a web portal and mobile app. Their web portal offers you the ability to change settings, set movement notifications, set geo-fences, change report intervals, view history, run reports, and fully manage your tracker yourself. The mobile app has less functionality but is still good for live tracking or changing major settings. With other cheaper companies, you will likely get a foreign company with a bare bones tracking site. I tried a cheaper unit. Their web site had limited functionality. The options it did have were hard to figure out. There was no mobile app. Worst of all, I had to call customer service any time I wanted to change settings.This seller, Talon GPS, is a small company where the owner himself answers the phone. He personally called me after I got my order to make sure everything was good (WOW!!). What company does that these days?The tracker company, Covert Wireless, is great also. I highly recommend any GPS devices they market.
