Q: Does it keep out the sun?

I had a 7.5’ in green for several years and loved it. I ordered a 9’ last fall when on sale. Set it up today. Appears to only filter the sun as a previous reviewer said. As my balcony faces south, I may regret this purchase and need to replace.

Q: I love this umbrella but somehow I can't figure out how to use the tilt mechanism.

There is a button flush under the umbrella hub. You have to press this in as you're bending the umbrella top.

Q: We already have a stand. first, is the canopy washable? our current is close to 10' wide, i take it this is 9' wide opened. how tall is stand?

Canopy is Canvas and has a water resistant coating on it ,it's washable ,as far as the stand The bases to 3 inches high with the shaft coming up 10 inches with a thumbscrew the one I got doesn't hold it up with the wind blowing when closed

The Abba patio umbrella is all the same. You can buy it with or without cover in different sizes and colors. I got the 9ft without the cover in turquoise. I love it!
