TC Electronic Spectradrive-Bass Preamp and Drive Pedal (960828005)

this is by far the best pedal I've ever used compared to aguilar and darkglass. I understand stand that both the Aguilar tone hammer and darkglass b7k ultra and vintage have a different sound based off of my personal experience with all said pedals but my God the tc electronics spectradrive is on point. Within 10min I was able to dial in the tone I wanted based off the tones I've seen from the you tube reviews. This pedal is great I've for a funk sound I've even went as far as attempting a metal sound that was easy to obtain and not wondering yo far off a funk tone the. The gain and drive are exceptional for a good metal tone. Skip the aguilar tone hammer and go with the tc electronics spectra drive and you will not regret it

I'm only using the basic equalizers on it, but this little pre-amp really boosts some life into my p-bass guitars.I use it both as a pre-amp and as a DI.

This thing sounds incredible! The drive channel that you can change with tone prints really is pretty versatile. Stack that on top of the EQ section and you can get some great tones. The 'intelligent' EQ is a really smart design and hits all the right frequencies in the way you want them too. on top of all that, there's a compressor! I replaced 3 pedals on my board with this thing. And it's got a tube overdriven kind of sound which you expect only from expensive amp heads. I love that sound and I'm glad I'm able to get it with this.

A great alternative to a passive direct box for bass. Powerful eq. I don't usually use compression but it seems to work well on this unit. Very happy with this purchase.

The stock compressor and overdrive sound beautiful, but you can modify both to your liking with the toneprint stuff. It's a great pedal and makes my bass sound a lot better.

Very easy to dial in the sound you’re looking for. Very high quality and great tones.

Compact, well designed and built, easy to use, feature rich and sounds good... Find a tone print you like using the app, download to the pedal and voilà, just works. Unfortunately, building your own tone print using the editor is NOT SUPPORTED with this pedal, as opposed to other tone print pedals. Wish that was clear from the description, and 3/5 because of that limitation.
