CRAFTSMAN Hammer, Flex Claw, 18 oz. (950845)

Hello,I'm a Union Carpenter who builds bridges, power plants,sky scrapers and things of that sort. I just want to say that this is the best multi use flex claw hammer I've ever and will use. This hammer can really take a beating for example, I've also used it for chipping hard floor concrete and wood demolition. I've been using this tool for 3 months now and there is no significant damage to it, the ratchet for the claw is intact. The weight it's perfect not to heavy not to lite but gets any job done. Well done CRAFTMAN!

My dad has a lot of tools, but he didn't have this one. I got it as a Christmas present, and he loves it. Says the adjustment helps him use it more ways than any of his other hammers.

The flex jaws on this hammer work absolutely awesome for pulling nails. Can get at them from numerous angles. Just a tip, the head of the hammer is rounded which isn't great for driving nails. Saw a video on Youtube about using belt sander to flatten head out and now it works great. Price can't be beat. Very satisfied.

Bought this hammer as a gift for house warming. It's a decent weight, just a tad heavier compared to other house hold hammers but I figured the uniqueness of the moving claw was too cool to pass up! Initially out of the box, the claw was actually jammed into 1 place. I thought about sending it back for a replacement because we couldn't figure out if it was actually broken. Once we dislodged the jammed button which allows the claw to move now works great! Occasionally the button does jam up again so I had to take off a star but it is a nice sturdy hammer, grip is amazing, good quality otherwise!

I love this hammer. it is truly a great design. I bought this on sale as an add on product but I would easily pay full price for it.

This is a tool that would an amazing gift for a younger person who likes to build. HIGH quality like Craftsman should be. This thing will outlast the zombies and cockroaches!

I love the feel and weight of this hammer. The adjustable claw is a huge plus. I've bought both sizes and they have become my go to hammers for general everyday use. The claw uses a plunge lock to allow adjustment. So far so good. Only time will tell whether the lock will seize or weather the tension/spring mechanism will eventually fail.

This is a very sturdy hammer. I didn’t realize how useful it would be until I tested it with floor work and functions great for prying and hammering!

I was sceptical that it would be only a gimmick, but I was pleasantly surprised and it has become one of my renovation "go to" tools. The magnetic nail holder is the unexpected bonus, didn't think I needed one of those. However, makes life so much easier when only one hand is available or in those tight spaces. Not having to carry my short wrecker bar and using the adjustable head instead works well. Add a few ounces to the head weight and it could be the utopia of tools, but it works well.

Awesome bit of kit, nice solid sturdy hammer. Love the magnet which holds nails in place, freeing up your hand and the moveable claw is such a great innovation. All round great tool.
