Dogs have different behaviours for different situations, and learn these behaviours based on their experiences. This makes understanding and helping dog behaviour much more complicated. What makes a dog man’s best friend is how well they seem to understand us. But do we always understand them? Dogs communicate with us all the time but without words or conversation. Instead, they use body language, facial expressions and some vocalisations to let us know what they feel and think.Being able to pick up on these signals will ultimately improve your relationship. Just like people, if a dog is misunderstood, or frustrated that their needs are not met, as confused or anxious because of unclear human-dog communication they can become anxious and stressed. Research has shown that using synthetic pheromones can help calm anxious and stressed pets and therefore reduce these behaviours. Pheromones are chemicals that are naturally secreted by animals that can affect the behaviour of other members of the same species. During lactation, for example, female dogs secrete a pheromone that reassures their puppies when they are close to them. Similarly, cats secrete facial pheromones that they deposit in known places in order to mark a familiar and secured territory. Synthetic versions of some of these natural pheromones have been developed to help manage stress-related problems in pets. Petwell and CEVA have worked together to develop this exclusive e-book that explains how ADAPIL acts and works. Covering topics explaining what pheromones are, how they can help, causes and signs of stress and which ADAPTIL products work best in different situations.

A substantial saving
We got these from a vet to calm down a large dog who was getting very anxious after a property move. Hes not a young lad and was getting fretful and destructive and it worked but like most meds from the vet expensive. We checked all the info on the vets pack and matched it to these a few checks and we purchased a pack and we are very happy as to the price shall we say that this 40 pack was substantially cheaper than the pack we got from the vet and that was for 10 tablets. We are cautious and would not have sourced medication without consultation and would not continue this as a long term solution. Its calmed him down and we don't use them very often but its nice to know they are in the pet section of the medical cupboard in case we need them

A sceptic converted !
Was given these as a gift for a terrified rescue dog around Bonfire Night. Frankly, I’m a Pharmacologist by training & I did not expect them to work - I was extremely sceptical. The results were frankly amazing. They really calmed the dog down & stopped all her symptoms of distress ( pacing, restlessness, panting etc ) I was SO impressed ..... and deeply grateful, because I just did not know how to alleviate her terror. She just relaxed & dozed off to sleep and I kept the treatment up for a few days after the last fireworks had gone off. Used the tablets in conjunction with the diffuser, but it seemed to be the tablets which really did the trick. Very impressed indeed !
