Kobalt 40-Volt Max Lithium Ion (Li-ion) 8-in Cordless Electric Pole Saw (Tool Only)

Id say its a pretty good tool in my arsenal... I have used other pole saws and have been totally unsatisfied .. I cant use a pull rope anymore on a chainsaw and this did the trick and I was cutting east texas thickets back with it... for what it is it works great, no other polesaw would ve held up to the type of woods Im cutting with it and Im sure its not rated for that but it did it! Sure I have already been through one but thats over a year of pretty heavy cutting and sure it has its drawbacks but if your easy on it itll last you... best that can be expected Id say for a 40v battery operated polesaw

I literally wore out my first one of these cutting up trees and branches from a major ice storm. Being able to buy the tool alone was really helpful because I couldn’t find any replacement parts. It’s actually very useful for general cutting. You can cut stuff on the ground without bending over. Gas power may cut faster but it’s fine for me.

we have a 5-acre parcel with many trees, including about 30 pepper trees, and all are well overgrown. I used this saw, along with our lift, to reach the taller branches. I took out the middle extension because it was a little end heavy for me. Once I took out the middle, it was perfect for what I did. I liked it so much, I bought a backup! I would recommend to anyone. Don't have to worry about gasoline going bad.

Worked so well cutting the dead branches on the tree in our front yard. Within a few minutes it was together and I was cutting. I already had a 40v Kobalt battery for my trimmer so I did not need another battery or charger. This was perfect for my needs.

I was a little concerned that a pole saw required more power than a battery could muster. Though, I was able to do my entire backyard pruning on less than a single charge (used my hedge trimmer to do the bushes after!). A good value and quality product.

Chain dulls very quickly. And just try to find an OEM replacement. Not. I ended up buying a specialty grinder designed specifically to sharpen chain saws. Also, BATTERY SOLD SEPARATELY! Which of course is another $100+ purchase. Don't get me wrong; I love Kobalt products in general and I like having a pole saw to maintain the trees on my property. It just shouldn't be this much hassle to maintain a tool. I understand things wear out but please make parts available after the sale!. I'd buy an extra chain or two to have as back ups. Just another example of poor service after the sale. Sadly an increasingly common problem in the modern world. They just crank out the stuff ... you're on your own after that! No parts, no service, nobody answers the phone ...

This saw works great. Cuts quick and clean. No more extension cords. Yay!

I like it. Handles well and cuts very well the only problem I have is the extension connector work loose. I recommend it,
