My husband has been collecting cards since he was young (he's almost 60).My youngest has collected cards as well.Together, they are starting to go through my husband's cards to see what he's got and what might have value.This kit has helped them get a good idea of what they're dealing with, as they decide what to do with them.My husband said he went online to learn what you have to look for in sports cards and uses this kit to help him see, first hand, what is being talked about.It doesn't take up much space at all, so it's really a pretty low-risk item for someone who has decades worth of sports cards to sort out.

Received these to try them out before I actually sent my cards out to PSA and Beckett to have them graded. I got them more or less to help me determine whether or not I wanted to send certain cards…hoping that I could better identify which would be closer to the gem mint state (10), therefore, being more comfortable spending the money to have them graded. Now, ease of use still depends on your knowledge level of what these tools do. If you’re new to this, you may get a bit confused or give up. If you do know what you are looking for it’s a great tool to help you maximize the value of your collection by getting conf you a more confident reas on whether to take the time and spend the money to have the collection graded. When you do find that Gem Mint card in the fold, the reward is that the value exponentially increases. Again, it’s a useful tool for those who have the know how. Instructions are not basic. But know what? For the fact that this tool is a good value, it may be worth getting and learning how to grade your cards!

This is a great, simple to use card grading guide. I don't think I'm a card grader just by having this, but it really helped me to look at my cards and determine which I should even consider sending in to be graded.

does exactly what you would want it to do.... give you a good idea of where center is of the card as well as being able to tell if your edges are far to one side or the other.... great tool for cards that you plan on sending of to get graded. i had a few cards that i was unsure about but with this i can tell my cards fall right with in the margin of error of a certain grading company.... comes with two that have a nice film on them so you can have a clean surface before you put it on your card.... even if it is penny sleeved or raw.... worth the price just for peace of mind

This card grader is a good way to save time especially if you want to send them off. You are able to preceded your cards so that you can get an idea of the placement and potential value if there is one.Simple and easy to use. My friend is using one of the sets to grade his own cards.

This tool is amazing if you ever plan to send in your trading card to a grading company such as PSA/SGC/BGC. It tells you whether your card is centered or not which is extremely important since most of these companies will not give you a perfect 10 unless your card is centered by atleast 60/40 which sounds like it should happen if the card you pull is fresh out of the pack. However that is unfortunately not true due to poor quality control of these companies often times the cards you pull straight out of the pack is already factory damaged or uneven.

Item works as described. It is easy to read, with any centering measuring kit you have to read the directions to make sure you are using it correctly. This priced at a good deal and you get two of them!
