Gift for my son
Don't know much about fingerboards, did notice it doesn't hurt your finger tips like tech deck thanks to the foam on top. My son asked for it as a present. He is very happy.

Great starter board!! Some minor issues/defects
First off I will point out the good. For the price, this is a great set up. I got the ebony solid with broken knuckle bushings. Overall I am really impressed. the first thing I noticed is the board has correct nose/tail anatomy. The o ring bushing that come pre-installed are decent, the broken knuckles are softer with more rebound, huge improvement over tech deck. The grip is grip, it does the job, plus they send 2 different thicknesses. You do have to thread the baseplates yourself for the first time, which is common, just go slow and make sure they are straight. Now for the issues. The broken knuckle bushings had some shape inconsistencies that caused some to sit wrong which resulted in inconsistent rebound. I could adjust them and they would be ok for 2 or 3 tricks but would go right back after. Seemed to be able to prolong this happening by adding a washer on top. Not sure if this is common with thier bushings or just a result of inconsistencies in the shaping process. Now the trucks, they are great for what they are. But why is one axle longer on both trucks? Both trucks have 1 axle bolt that is noticeably longer than the other... You can see it in both pictures with the wheels on and with them off. Not sure if this is a manufacturing defect and the bolts are not seated all the way, or if they messed up and put the wrong length axle in one side of each truck. Not sure how this will effect mounting more premium wheels yet...Only other gripe is the griptape being precut, it is just a few mm too short long ways, but still manageable.Overall, for a sub $20 board, it is a very solid setup. I have already ordered a 2nd to set up for my son.If the broken knuckle bushings would have been a little more consistent and the truck axles would have been the correct lengths, I would have given 5 stars. If those issues were not present I would say this is comparable to a premium setup, which still makes it impressive when you factor in the price your getting it for.
