Fun for the Family!
Harmonies is a beautiful, thinky little puzzle that’s quickly become a favorite at my table. The production is outstanding—the art is warm and inviting, and the way the wooden pieces stack into a 3D landscape makes the board look fantastic by the end of the game. It really does give you that satisfying “I built something” feeling every time. Gameplay is simple to learn but offers more depth than it first appears. On your turn you’re just drafting pieces and placing them, but trying to line up the different scoring goals (animals, terrain types, and height) gives you plenty to think about without bogging the game down. It hits that sweet spot of being relaxing to play but still engaging for gamers who like a bit of a puzzle. That said, there are a few caveats. Player interaction is pretty minimal; you’re mostly focused on your own board, with only light tension over what others might take from the display. If your group likes direct conflict or heavy strategy, this will feel more like “multiplayer solitaire.” The game can also end faster than you expect, especially once people know what they’re doing, so sometimes it feels like your engine is just starting to hum when the final round hits. Overall, I’d recommend Harmonies if you enjoy nature‑themed games like Cascadia or Azul‑style puzzles, and you want something that looks great on the table and is easy to teach to family and friends. It’s not the most interactive or complex game out there, but as a beautiful, calming, brain‑tickling puzzle, it does its job very well.

Beautiful, Simple, Fun
Harmonies does not look like my type of board game. The cover art doesn’t particularly appeal to me. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of nature. But there has been a hype around this particular game, and as such, when I saw a reasonable sale, I picked it up, and man, am I glad I did. Simple enough to easily understand, and complex enough to not be boring, this game is the perfect light/medium game. You collect stones. You place stones. You score points based on the placement. And if you place them correctly enough, you can build a habitat for any of the various creature cards in the game. The artwork is a thing or beauty in and of itself. The pieces themselves look good. The creatures on the cards are cute without being too “cutesy” - they still look like animals, not just cartoons. Rarely does a game leave me constantly wanting to play more, but we could put in an entire evening of 20 minute games and I would still want to keep playing. I really can’t recommend this enough.

A really fun game for the whole family!
I got this game based on all the great reviews and the initial synopsis I read about it. It’s so much more than I expected. It’s definitely in my top 3 board games. It can get a bit competitive but not so much that it makes it not fun. There is luck and strategy involved and I think that’s what makes it so entertaining and engaging even for adults. My 6 year old is even grasping the mechanics of this game and starting to play with us. So if you have a little that picks up on games easily this could be THE family game for you! It is for us and we’re have a range of kids from 6-13 atm. It does take a bit to learn everything, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes so fun. The value is very fair. The game pieces are high quality and a lot of fun texture wise to use and place. There art is gorgeous! I love the whole feel and vibe of this game. Highly recommend!

A favorite of our 200+ game collection
Such a great game! The art is beautiful, the packaging is designed really well so pieces don’t fall around while it’s stored, and the pieces are really good quality. The rules are simple so it’s easy to learn quickly and there are three levels of difficulty so there’s a lot of replay value. We played it over 10 times the first week we had it. Definitely earned its super high rating on boardgamegeek. When it’s on sale it’s a fantastic buy!

Fun, visually appealing, not too complex
Quick to learn game with enough strategy to keep it interesting. Very visually and tactilely appealing game, pretty chill to play, relatively short games. Nice component quality, especially for the price, wooden tokens and thick card stock, though I think the cube components could have been more interesting to match the quality visual design of the other components they still work just fine. The game is essentially a tile laying game where you are trying to match patterns to score points. Scoring points is based on landscape patterns for each of the six tile types, plus additional patterns on animal cards that are unique to each player. Thinking ahead helps to score more. It can feel very satisfying when a plan works out. Player interaction is pretty minimal. Players take turns deciding which pile of tokens to take and which animal cards they want, beyond that players are just working on their own board without any interference from other players. Overall, it is a quick to play fun game, that is visually appealing, with enough strategy to keep it interesting without being too complex. It's a good game in my opinion.

Balanced game of poetic aesthetics and deep strategy
I’m a huge fan of Cascadia and Azul, so I had high hopes for this, and it did not disappoint. It’s one of those rare games that looks like a piece of art on the table but actually makes your brain work. I love that you’re building "up" with the little wooden pieces to create mountains and trees; it’s much more satisfying than just laying flat tiles. It feels very "zen" and peaceful while you're playing, but there is definitely some real strategy involved in trying to attract the right animals to your board. It’s become my favorite game to play on a quiet Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea. If you like nature themes and clever puzzles, get this!

Fun game to play when waiting
Product came without a plastic shrink wrap but the box was sealed with two circle tape on two edges. Cards were still sealed. Everything seems to be complete. Game was easy to learn and fast paced for a solo game as well. Struggled a bit with scoring as it gets complicated with all the patterns and conditions. Card artwork is vivid and very pretty. Perfect for both cozy and competitive gamers.

Family favorite
I love this game so much! The entire family can play it. The pieces are very heavy cardboard - well made. The resource pieces are painted wood. All of the parts fit so well into the box for storage. The game is straight forward and can be learned quickly. There is enough element of chance to shake up the play a bit so the over planners wont always win. There is also plenty of strategy so play feels purposeful. The game can be leveled up 2 different ways after mastering the basics. What looks like complicated scoring turned put to be very simple thanks to the design of the score cards.

Such a delight in both sight and strategy
Harmonies was just what I expected, and some more. It has a simple strategy to both learn and teach, but it does challenge your game plan. Players choose cards, each with patterns to recreate (the habitats of the animals) in their individual board. Points are given for both forming the habitat patterns and by creating certain sequences of the colored tiles. It truly is a beautiful game. The illustrations are engaging, the quality of the materials is fantastic (even the box!) and the replayability is great. I have tried it with two players and in the solo mode and I am more than satisfied with it, I highly, highly recommend it. No doubt that it will become a well-loved and played game in our household; out of the 50ish games we have, I can see myself gravitating towards it quite often. If you enjoy simple games like Azul but want an added challenge in terms of strategy, you might want to consider Harmonies. I gather that it shares a lot in commom with Cascadia, (althogh I have not personally played it!), so if that is your jam, you might enjoy this one as well!

Spannend und spassig
Sehr lässiges Brettspiel, sowohl mit den Kindern (7&9), als auch nur Erwachsene. Die Regeln sind nicht zu kompliziert, so dass auch eher unerfahrene Spielende mitmachen können.

A peaceful and clever strategy game with great production quality
Harmonies is a beautifully designed tile-placement game that blends creativity with strategy. Players draft and place terrain tiles on their personal boards to create habitats and attract animals, scoring points based on how well they match their animal cards. It supports 1 to 4 players, with a satisfying solo mode and an “expert” mode that adds nature spirit cards for extra depth. The game plays in around 30–45 minutes, making it a great choice for a relaxed evening or a quick gaming session. The physical components are excellent. Terrain tokens are made of wood, animal cubes feel substantial, and the artwork by Maëva Da Silva gives the game a dreamy, peaceful vibe. The game strikes a good balance between ease of learning and meaningful decisions, newcomers can pick it up quickly, while more experienced players will appreciate the tactical options around tile placement and card selection. That said, the scoring mechanism can feel a little complex at first, and because space on the board is limited, you really need to plan ahead, which may lead to decision paralysis for some players. Also, in solo play the “market” of tiles and animal cards can stagnate, making the game feel a bit repetitive over time. But for the money it is a great investment. Overall, Harmonies is a lovely mix of calm theme and tactical depth. I recommend it for players who enjoy thoughtful, peaceful games where building your own little world matters almost as much as winning.
