Premium Serum
The Rose de Vie Serum by Dr Sebagh arrived in a simply branded cardboard box, sealed in plastic. While the packaging itself was minimalistic, it didn’t quite create the luxurious first impression one might expect, especially given the premium price point. However, what truly matters is the quality of the serum itself, and this does not disappoint. The serum is contained within a glass bottle, though I wasn’t entirely certain whether the bottle itself was entirely glass. It is dispensed via a glass dropper, making measurement and application precise and effortless. The 30ml quantity is sufficient for regular use, and the smooth consistency strikes a balance—not too runny, yet not overly thick.A major selling point of this serum is its ingredient list, which is both simple and effective. It is formulated with 100% organic rosehip seed oil, which is rich in powerful antioxidants such as vitamin C and A, known for their cellular regeneration properties. These antioxidants help combat signs of ageing, reduce scars, and target hyperpigmentation, while also soothing inflammation to improve skin tone. Other key ingredients include passion fruit seed oil and canola oil, which provide hydration, as well as vitamin E, hydroxyphenyl, and propamidobenzoic acid, all of which work to calm and nourish the skin. This serum is non-comedogenic, making it suitable for most skin types, and offers intense nourishment without clogging pores. Application is simple—a few drops should be massaged gently into cleansed skin, allowing it to absorb easily. As long as it is not overapplied, it doesn’t leave behind any sticky residue, and it immediately makes the skin feel smooth and supple. It is ideal for morning and night use, particularly for those with dry, mature, or sensitive skin. The product has won numerous awards, which further solidifies its reputation as a high-quality skincare solution. However, despite the nourishing formula, one personal drawback for me was the strong scent of the oil. I found the fragrance overwhelming, which makes me hesitant about using it frequently, even though I appreciate the benefits. At £132 for a one-off purchase, or £118.80 with Amazon’s Subscribe & Save scheme, this serum is certainly on the higher end of the pricing spectrum. Nevertheless, given its thoughtful formulation, absence of harsh chemicals, and effectiveness, it remains a premium skincare product.

Really lovely product
Having read good things about Dr Sebagh products, I had tried several before this but hadn't been impressed with the efficacy or value so I wasn't expecting too much from this serum. I'm pleased to say, though, that I have finally found a Dr Sebagh product that I love. The bottle feels good quality and the dispenser works well. Just press the button on the top to draw the serum up into the glass pipette and press again to dispense. Some product can drip when the pipette is removed from the bottle but it's not a major issue. You only need a few drops to cover the face and neck, just experiment to find the right amount for you.The serum has a liquid consistency and an oil texture. Because it's a dry oil it doesn't look or feel greasy on my normal to dry skin. It just makes it feel instantly softer, smoother and more nourished. It makes my skin look brighter and healthier when applied but I don't find this effect lasts all day. My makeup does sit nicely on top of it.The packaging looks quite nice but it's really excessive for the size of the bottle. There's no need for the outer sleeve, any information could be printed on the box. And the box could be much smaller to save on packaging and to avoid waste. The serum is really lovely to use and I like the soft rose scent but I have also used other facial oils and serums which give me the same results at a much more affordable price. I really can't see what makes this particular product so much more expensive but if you like the caché of using high end products, then it's certainly a lovely product, I just feel it's overpriced.

Calms the skin. Absorbs quickly
I’m in my forties and would describe my skin as combination and prone to flare ups.I absolutely love this face serum and how it’s made my skin feel and look.It is quite oily in texture but is absorbed quickly and leaves skin feel so soft and smooth. I’m prone to getting dry patches on my face and this calms and smooths these areas but also doesn’t make my more oily tzone looks oily. The packaging and glass dropper make dispensing the right amount easy. I like how the lid is pressed to extract the serum.High quality and works wonders on my skin. It’s expensive but I’ve used for a couple of months now and there’s still plenty in the bottle.A premium product that I’m happy to recommend and would repurchase.

Not for me as it leaves a glittery oily texture on my skin
This Dr Sebagh Rose de Vie serum does come well packaged and presented however, it is a little over excessive for just a 30ml small container of the product. However the outer packaging can be recycled and the containers the serum is in.The consistency of this serum is very watery and runs straight of the product pipette stick when you take it out of the bottle. The serum is very heavily fragranced with the scent of rose so would only recommend trying it if you like the scent, as it is a little overpowering. A few of the drops of serum does go along way.The serum can be use daily, day and night and under moisturiser. The serum does absorb quickly into my skin however my main issue with the serum is that it leaves an oily glittery shinny texture sitting on top of my skin so this isn’t suitable for me to wear as a day serum. When I wash the serum off my face it does make my skin feel really soft, smooth and hydrated.Overall, I wouldn’t repurchase again due to how strongly scented it is and how shinny and oily it makes my skin look however as a night time serum it’s fine. I feel your mainly paying for the packaging which isn't necessary and for 30ml small bottle, its not great value.
