Harman Kardon HKTS 5.1 Channel Home Theatre Speaker System - White

Sound is awesome, trust me I am picky!Only complaint is with the wall mounts. They are poorly made/designed. The way you must run the speaker wire through them, and then screw the base in, all while holding it on the wall is waaay to difficult. Frustration was at an all time high. However once they were up, they look great and sound even better. I use them with a Yamaha receiver, and they perform as good or better than I could of expected for their price point.

I have been using this Harman Kardon HKTS 16WQ 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System for about 3 months now. They sound awesome, and make the home theatre and music listening experience very enjoyable. For their size, the surround and center speakers provide better range and solid tonal quality than I had guessed they would. And the subwoofer, although with a smaller driver than my other subwoofer, adds that low end sound tightly so its not mushy at all. For about $100 each though, I expected this kind of quality from Harman Kardon and had checked out this speaker system on their website before purchasing. And I liked buying from a US company. The only downside is that the speaker wire that comes with the speakers is just a bit small in diameter, with no connectors (just bare wire on both ends, which is how the wire is connected to the speakers). I believe the longest run of wire that came with the speakers was 30 feet, but two of the speakers required longer runs from my AV receiver. So I separately bought 16-Gauge speaker wire, and banana plug connectors to connect to the AV receiver. I also separately bought subwoofer speaker cables with RCA connectors on each end. Overall, I'm very happy with these speakers, and they look great too.

Worked great for a month. Fuse blown on sub woofer leaves you with a worthless box unable to replace any part.

EDIT: Subwoofer died the other day. I took the panel off to examine if there was a fuse i needed to replace. Instead i found the resistors failed and the entire sub needs to be replaced. For the price it's not bad, but i expected the Sub to last longer than about 2 years...Great looking speaker set with a great sound!Receiver used: Yamaha RX-V379Size:- physically larger than I expected for the satellites and the subwoofer. I would classify them as a medium sized satellite.- the subwoofer looks great: it has a glossy finish, there is a power-light on the top that is fairly bright (not obtrusive), and it is a bit taller than I expectedFeatures:- No problem accepting 14g wiring for the satellites- Trigger option is nice if your receiver can control the sub's power statusInstallation:- the plastic tabs on the bottom of the wall-mounts are a bit delicate (I broke one), but it still mounts securely- if you're wall-mounting these speakers make sure the hole in the wall for the wiring is right where the opening is for each respective bracket- again, if you're wall-mounting there are a different set of screws (that are longer) that will attach the mount to the speaker, so don't use the screws that are used for the normal basesSound:- crisp highs and very good bass notes- overall I'm very happy with the sound and the amount of bass coming from the speakers and subwoofer (especially considering the price)

AWESOME...I was skeptical when I saw the slashed price but this is definitely worth it. I was debating between going for this or Bose AM10 and though bose may be good, this one rocked...I have not checked all the settings through my receiver (I have a yamaha) but am very very happy with what I have seen so far. A special mention to the people who read and answered my questions on this product patiently..thank god I listened to you all...thanks a ton.

in a word, outstanding! great looks, great sound, great price

Purchased these speakers to go with my Denon receiver. Has pretty good (adjustable) bass subwoofer with deep resonant sound that balances well with the five satellite speakers. Love the custom sound select buttons on the remote. You can select sport, cinema, standard or vibrant sound at the click of a button. Installation is pretty simple for the most part. Your biggest challenge will be mounting the speakers. Overall, this is a great purchase for the price. I would definitely recommend. Especially if you're installing for a bedroom surround sound system or smaller living room. Not recommended for larger spaces.

Looks great with my white entertainment center. The subwoofer was a little taller than I expected, but it is really great quality. the mounting of the rear surround speakers were a bit of a challenge, but I got it to work with my application.
