Second update: After finally being able to connect with the seller, they were the definition of excellent with their customer service. I reached out to them during the holiday rush and had a replacement unit that seems to be completely new sent to me. The bus are add amazing as the first pair were. This time I will be more mindful of where I keep my favorite earbuds, and fart far away from the washing machine. Thank you Essential Tech and Nothing. In the past two years, I have used or owned just about every single pair of earbuds under $500. I use the nothing year 2024 version every day and sometimes I don’t even think to grab the other ones. Everything comes with some form of trade-off any with the nothing I would say these these are battery life and sound. Both of these trade offs are minimal. The battery life is fine and because of wireless charging they get back to useable levels quickly. In terms of sound I personally rank the Sennheiser Momentum 4 as the buds that have sounded the best to me, an arbitrary “10”. If the M4 are a 10 I’d say the nothing are an 8, unless you just love bass, if you do, these are a 9.5. Pros: Comfort- as comfortable as a stem style earbud I’ve ever used. I wear these in any sweaty environment and they DO NOT Fall out..looking at you Apple and Samsung Pro 3 Connectivity- again another place where these are as good as any bud with multiple devices except the Technics AZ80, which can pair to 3 devices (something I never used once) Controls- this is where I believe the buds start to stand out. You have many options to choose from how you want these to work, almost anyone can find a setup that works. The one thing they don't do is slide for volume control. Call/mic quality- from everyone I’ve talked there is a Night and Day difference in me talking with these buds and anything else, yes even Apple AirPod pros. Apparently they block out most of the background noise as well. This might be the biggest selling point for the buds. It’s Exceptional Durability- I mentioned before that these stay in no matter what sweaty activity I’m doing they also push through no matter what activity I’m doing whether it’s sweat rain splashes of water, falling in water the case has held up to exposure to water everything it’s one of the stronger qualities of the buds, and the case, is the durability. IP54 does don't protect against a washing machine or total submersion. Transparency mode- Again, transparency mode is one of those things that it just does really well very similar to the call quality it’s top of the line in terms of the way the transparency mode operates and functions. It’s one of the best that there are right now. App functionality- I mentioned that the controls are amazing and they are just a part of an amazing app for these buds. You can find any sound profile that you love and as I mentioned in the sound earlier if you love bass bass is a thing that you must have with earbuds. These are the best style earbuds. I’ve ever used it. It’s it’s a level that is disruptive. That’s how there’s controls you can’t even fathom EQ settings. As far as you can imagine it’s really top-notch. I would say that the app is a 10 out of 10 for all of the functionality that you can use for these buds and if you just want to use default stuff it works really well there too the app is another amazing point. Trade offs: Noise cancellation- if the Bose quiet comfort and the Sennheiser and the Sony are tens, then the nothings are probably eight or 8 1/2 the Bose could be by themselves, but the little hissing white noise that’s with them when you not running music bothers me to no end so I can’t rank them a 10. I think these are just a few marks below any of the premium top 2 to 3 times the price of these earbuds noise cancellation performance more than doable. Sound- Well, I said the app gives you great flexibility for sound and even sound quality they don’t stack up to the higher budget earbuds in this regard they notice don’t sound as good or is clear or as crisp as the Sennheiser momentum force not many earbuds. Do they are clearly not there once again. I probably put these in about an eight or 8 1/2 if the Sennheiser are number one. But the sound is good enough for me to pick these up every single time I’m leaving the house and just taking earbuds just in case or when I’m going to the guy I know that these will always be good enough customization next level that you can get really close, especially if you have a phone that supports higher and codec, you’ll notice that increase just a little bit and that makes that little bump each way up ahead of other earbuds like Bose, Samsung, and AirPods and all the other ones in that price range they sound better than jabra which are almost $300. Battery- battery is the spot that the nothings have made the biggest improvement on because previously their batteries were not very good at all and now they’re passable. They’re quite decent and get about six hours out of them using Hi-Rez Kodex and ANC about six hours maybe 5 1/2 just kind of depending on circumstances and everything else but about 5 1/2 six hours that’s about what you get out of most of them the Sony or a 10 in this area these would be, I don’t know previously they were five or four so nice improvement in terms of the battery like I said it being rechargeable via wireless charging is really helpful. It just makes it quick and easy. Throw it on the back of your phone if it supports it in 10 minutes 20 minutes you got enough charge to get going and do whatever you need so it’s not terrible like it was it makes it very doable and passable now. TL;DR These earbuds are a significant improvement over the previous generation for anything in their price range. They are right up there at the top as far as the best or close to the best in this price range I luckily got mine on sale on Amazon. I think they were 115 120 for the amount of money there’s nothing that touches these. I have the momentum 4s, I have the technic AZ80s, I’ve had several AirPod pros, I have the Samsung buds Pro three and the budsPro 2, list the earbuds under $400. I’ve had them or still own them and these earbuds check enough of the boxes that matter to me that I use these consistently more than the other ones , probably one of the biggest good sound good ANC great quality, multipoint connection and durability. These aspects make them, the go anywhere earbud, they consistently deliver what I want from them. I love this purchase and will absolutely recommend these buds to anyone who seeks these qualities from their buds, especially in the stem style.

I picked up these earbuds mainly for listening to EDM (house, techno, D&B, etc) and taking calls, and they’ve quickly become my go-to daily drivers & travel earbuds. The overall sound signature hits hard where it matters. The profile gives punchy bass and crisp highs that are pretty much required to make electronic tracks feel alive. It's an excellent luxury while I'm at the office, out running errands, or on a plane, but the sound is also good enough to opt for when I'm at home and could alternatively use a proper speaker. The soundstage feels open and detailed, which is exactly what I want for bass-heavy playlists and beat-driven music, so unless I need to feel the bass in my chest, this'll provide everything I need. Comfort is excellent. They’re light in the ears even during long listening sessions, so I can wear them for hours without fatigue. Bluetooth pairing was simple and stable, and battery life gets me through long flights with plenty of juice left, plus the case provides multiple full recharges on the go. Easy touch/pinch controls and the Nothing app allows for customized EQ and adjustable ANC, which helps a lot at the grocery store, office, and airport. Call quality has been solid too, something I always struggle to find in earbuds, but far more necessary here than on over-ear headphones. My voice come through clear in quiet & decently noisy places, which is awesome when I’m out and about taking a work call mid-day. Battery life holds up well for daily use, and the transparent case looks cool/stylish while keeping the buds charged for multiple days. The visual factor definitely sets em apart from a lot of the other earbuds you could get for an Android phone. Only thing I wish is that they had strong waterproofing. A little splash resistance would make them perfect for workouts or rainy walks. But these aren't meant to be workout earbuds, they're far more suited to the subway and streets. Otherwise, these are some of the best everyday earbuds I’ve used; great balance of sound, comfort, and features for the price.

I’m constantly on the move, and I needed a pair of earbuds that could handle a long flight or a noisy train ride without feeling bulky. I picked up the Nothing Ear (the 2024 flagship model) because I was curious about the "Bass Enhance" and the Hi-Res audio support. I wanted something that looked a bit different but still had the tech to keep up with my calls and my music library. The Breakdown The first thing that stands out is definitely the design. The transparent look is pretty slick and definitely catches the eye, but the real win is the comfort. These are very light. I’ve worn them for three-hour stretches while catching up on work, and I didn't get that "clogged ear" feeling or any soreness. When it comes to the sound, they lean toward a very crisp and detailed signature. If you’re an Android user and can take advantage of the LDAC codec, the clarity is quite good for this price range. The bass is punchy, especially if you use the "Bass Enhance" feature in the app, but it doesn't drown out the vocals like some other brands tend to do. It’s a more refined kind of low-end—not just a muddy rumble, but a clean thump. The "Smart ANC" is also pretty helpful. It’s supposed to adjust the noise cancellation based on how the buds are sitting in your ear. In practice, it does a decent job of dialing back the hum of an airplane engine or the chatter in a coffee shop. It’s not going to completely silence the world, but it definitely makes a dent in the background noise. The Reality Check However, there are a few things to keep in mind. While the sound is great, the battery life is just "okay." If you have the noise cancellation turned on and you're using high-quality codecs, you're realistically looking at about 5 hours of playback. That's usually enough for a flight from the East Coast, but you'll definitely be putting them back in the case for a recharge more often than some competitors. Final Thoughts Overall, these met my expectations for a daily driver. They aren't the absolute kings of noise cancellation, but for a business traveler who appreciates good audio and a lightweight fit, they’re a great choice. They’re practical, they look cool, and the call quality is clear enough that I don't have people asking me to repeat myself on Zoom calls.

Great earbuds especially for the price. I think these earbuds perform exceptionally well for their price point. The sound quality is great with plenty of bass. The Adaptive noise canceling is not perfect but it does make a huge difference. The battery lasts a long time. I've had them for 2 weeks now and I've only charge the case once. I normally have a problem with earbuds that just stick in your ear. They usually don't fit well and fall out but these stay in perfectly even when I'm working out. They're very comfortable. Very light. It's nice that the earbud and case have colored dots to remind you which earbud goes on which side when you go to charge it. The nothing app is also really easy to use and setting up my personal sound profile seemed to make a difference in the quality of the sound.

WORST BRAND & EXPERIENCE EVER!! I CAUTION ANY POTENTIAL BUYER AVOID THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE. I hardly every write reviews especially this long but felt it was necessary. Here is my story which to this day remain unresolved. Less than 10 months from time of purchase my case stopped holding a charge, and unable to charge or connect to the ear buds. I reach out 3/30 since they are under warranty to get them repaired. First red flag, Nothing Tech kept going back and forth with unnecessary "troubleshooting" steps to where it felt they were blaming me. I provided a response of the steps in detail they asked which only progressed when I notified them I was an Electronics Engineer (This is True) and was not looking to fix them myself to prevent voiding the warranty. I finally received a RMA number 4/5, after that struggle, along with delay in getting a shipping address 4/11 to send the faulty product back for repair. I shipped them later that day on 4/11 and received confirmation they received them a few days later. They claimed repair process typically takes 3–5 business days once the device arrives, excluding shipping time and subject to parts availability.. So a wait patiently as a week goes bye, so almost ~13 days later I follow up with requesting an update 4/27. Now this where the uncooperative experience and lack of accountability is highlighted with there "customer support". They responded the device was delivered on 4/20 and they provided a track number. So I go look up the FedEx details and in my mail box NO package still. FedEx provides proof the package was signed by unknown person not in my household, listing ONLY the city in the tracker but the actual address was blank. I reach back out to Nothing and they provided feedback the package was delivered and recommend to ask my neighbor which I they did NOT have my package. Also requested them to confirmed the account return address was correct and associated with me 4/27, which it was. I went back to my security cameras to look at the time and date they claimed the package was delivered which I have clear view of my street and nearby neighbos along with front door camer, NO package. I filled a claim through FedEx as they also recommended asking. I later 4/30 spoke with a FedEx representative on the phone. FedEx confirmed the address on the tracking number which Nothing provided was not mine but was delivered to the same city which I lived, this explained the signed package from unknown person.. I once again reach out to Nothing 4/30 letting them know FedEx claim was denied because it was delivered to correct address associated with tracking number, once again NOT mine. Since it was not stolen or lost I could not file a report of any kind with either FedEx or the police. The FedEx representative ask I confirm this was the correct tracking number and possibly two different shipping information were put on the package. I contact Nothing asking for the actual address associated with the tracking number along with RMA number they provide was accurate 5/1. Nothing responded back with claim of delivery but FedEx shipped to wrong address and ONLY supplying my city as proof Nothing sent package to correct address 5/2 to file a complaint directly with Fedex. Now I'm responding back with receipts of proof FedEx did there part along with a screenshot of this NEGATIVE 1000 review with no resolution in sight and my hard earned money waisted on their product and services. I once again WARN or better yet to NOT purchase anything from them to have to go through the same experience, there are much better brands out there who standby the quality of their products and value their customers.

My brother had been using Skullcandy Sesh first gen for about two or three years and they got to the point of annoying me, so as a reference this is a huge update, considering noise cancellation, app features, better microphone and overall sound quality. I on the other hand have been using Samsung's galaxy buds 3 pro and obviously I'm not too amused with the feature difference. HOWEVER my earbuds are a bit more pricy and comparing what you get for the price difference there's not too much that would make me pick my buds 3 pro over these. Sound quality although subjective was found a bit better than expected, obviously a lot better than V shaped equalized Skullcandy, with a more warm sound and although highs were found a bit distorted at high volumes its not that healthy to do that so it rarely goes past 80 or 90% volume. I found controls a bit better on the Nothing earbuds, its very hard to activate them accidentally (and sometimes on purpose) which make fitting and adjusting them a lot more easy, this is great for working out. As far a microphone goes I found the Buds 3 Pro to take a bigger advantage, however who calls these days? for casual video conference, even in loud environments like a factory these are just fine. I recommend these for someone who enjoys listening to music very constantly, and will take advantage of the standard features, like noise cancelling, eq, water and dust resistance, but doesn't have a preference for high quality or fidelity sound. So after I bought ones for myself, black ones (since my galaxy buds 3 pro were not sounding as good with my X9 pro as they did with my s23 ultra) I got to play around a lot more with these and I found them to be amazing ONLY if you tuned the equalizer, now the best part is that you don't need to be an expert, there are plenty of eqs on the internet saved as QR codes that you can download or screenshot and load them into the nothing x app (or set them as I have). Now the app (aside from the noise cancellation) is probably the least likeable part of the buds, it's a bit buggy and the interface is meh, but once you load a good EQ, these buds go from a B- to an A+ (not an A++ though), the EQ I'm using is not that bass heavy, but definitely punchy and the mids and highs are veeeeery crisp, I can comfortably say once you get the EQ right, just talking sound quality they can go head to head with the Sony XM4s (pre EQ). Feature wise they are still decent, noise cancellation does not get better with their last update, but just for regular listening and even for video/audio editing they're great.

I'm actually not sure that my units are fully functional. I've never used noise cancelling earphones before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was unimpressed. I use transparency more the most, for wearing at work. If they're next me it doesn't do much, but if someone's having a conversation across the room, I can sometimes hear them pretty well. Noise cancellation seems no better than passive noise isolation of buds I typically use, and is definitely less effective than Comply foam tips I often upgrade to. For comparison, my teen daughter has Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. She thought they were broken, so I cleaned them and put new tips on, then tested them out. The transparency mode was a little digitized, but was really clear. Noise cancellation was also very effective, although when it first started there was a strange sucking sensation on my ear drums. It made me realize just how bad this feature was on my Nothings. I was really disappointed. I wanted to support a company that wasn't one of the largest in the world. I should've just bought some Galaxy buds. Pros: - sound quality is pretty good, especially if you do the hearing test for the "Personal Sound Profile". Bassy and full. - battery life is reasonable - about 5 hours with transparency mode (essential for wearing at work) - comfort is pretty good using the included silicon ear tips. I wear them for 4 to 5 hours without any issues - looks pretty good with the transparent smoked casing - touch controls are tactile, intuitive and customizable - wireless charging is nice, so long as you've got a charging pad. The case is magnetized, but doesn't really work very effectively with magsafe chargers - case is a nice size and shape. It fits in the pocket fairly comfortably. The buds snap nicely in place for charging - software is easy to use Cons: - not sure the noise cancellation/transparency actually works. Could just be a defective set. Maybe I should have opened a ticket, but until recently I just didn't know better. Regardless, they're either unreliable, or this feature just isn't very good. Since I bought them with this feature in mind that knocks a significant number of stars off my review, for what is otherwise a decent product.

TLDR: Good headphones, too expensive, charging case ruined by washer on first wash. Good headphones, a bit expensive (my opinion), active noise canceling is good but buggy at times, app features are neat and useful, cool programming tricks in the headphones themselves, "find my headphones" feature works better than Samsung (based on discussion with coworker). Range is less than expected, battery life is worse than expected. These were my first new headphones in 3 years, replacing some JBL Go Air earbuds, so that's the baseline for my review. I bought these headphones "Used-Like New" for $79, the package was still sealed and had never been opened, and I used some amazon points to lower my cost to around $59. After reading a ton of reviews for various buds, I thought these looked cool, the performance looked really nice, and the price was more reasonable to me. All of these things are great. I saw another reviewer mention that their headphones were randomly pausing while chewing, I'd guess they didn't have their headphones properly fitted for their ears; here is why: The app for these headphones has a "fit" test built in, during this test it plays audio and uses the external microphones to "listen" to see how much sound is leaking out. Given this test it can suggest you change the tip size. Anyway, these headphones have a feature where if you pull one of the two headphones from your ear, it detects that, and it automatically pauses whatever you are listening to (the headphones are basically assuming you pulled one headphone out to listen to and talk with someone, so it pauses for your conversation. Some pretty cool programming, but it can be weird, sometimes I'll pull one headphone out while at work just to keep a more active ear and it pauses, but I understand why so it doesn't bother me too much. As for the reasons I'm giving these headphones 3 out of 5, the active noise cancelling is really cool, this is my first time ever having this feature, but sometimes it gets funky and pushes external sounds through and amplifies them louder than what they would normally be (like my lawn mower when I turn my head) I wish this performed a little better. The buds also die pretty quickly, I think they have like a 3-4 hour charge when using the noise cancelling, not sure how the life changes when you turn that off, but this means I now make sure to put them in the case to charge at work when I'm at lunch or taking a break from using them, if I don't keep them charged they will die during work. The last complaint I have about these headphones is the range. I'm not sure if it is my pair in particular, if it is caused by using the "connect to two devices" feature, or if all these headphones work this way, but the range is pretty poor. If I walk to the restroom about 50' away they start losing signal and getting buggy. With the JBL headphones I could walk over a hundred feat away from my phone or computer and they didn't miss a beat. The range and battery issues may be a result of the small size of these buds, comparatively they are much smaller than my last pair, and I suppose that is worth the trade off. I just wasn't expecting downgrades in a few areas when these headphones are 3 years newer and 4x the retail price.

Bit the bullet on the Nothing Ear (2024) since they were on £108. The fit is really nice -- the capsule design means they do actually sit in the ear a bit better than more tradition "airpod pro" style (Earfun AP4's). So they feel more nestled in there and less prone to shifting around. Driving them on LHDC v5 since i have that on my Xiaomi. Connection has been rock solid so far - no glitching/drops/downgrades. Which is better than the MTW4's manage even on AptX Adaptive (not lossless). The ANC is on part with MTW4's --- maybe a slight difference --- the Nothing's let a bit more "mid" through maybe which i feel is easier to ignore when listening to music. Certainly better than the Earfun AP4's bit a small amount The sound signature out of the box is pleasing. Did their version of a hearing test and set that to "Rich". Dropped the bass-boost down from 3 to 2 and nudged the treble +1 Essentially very punchy bass but feels very tight. EDM works really well. The Nothing App is nice, follows their aesthetic on mono + red dotted font. Very clean. Usual tweaks. Controls can be customised to a point (you get 3 options per action to pick from) Bass Boost is separate from EQ (kinda like DPP's Immersion) EQ has 2 modes, Simple (a set of 3 sliders for bass/mid/treble) or the full EQ which gives an 8 band parametric-esque EQ with frequency, amount & Q-factor The App allows you to import / export EQ's via a QR code. Usual other stuff like ear detection, codec select, firmware updates, find my buds, low-latency/multipoint selectors etc etc I'd say for £108 these are packing a good punch and can compete well with the usual suspects I'll say one thing for the Nothing ear too. It's the app. It's slick. It feels like someone actually cared about it For me the Denon and Sennheiser apps feel clunky. They lag a bit even on flagship phones but the nothing app feels fluid and really well connected. It flows and doesn't feel like an after thought The gestures like play pause or transparency on the buds play subtle playful tones Feels the same with nothing phones. They really get industrial design in a way that feels super modern and fresh without being intrusive. They're like apple used to be The charging case feels tactile and efficient Really like the whole aesthetic

Los uso en combinación con un galaxy S23 y se nota muy buena calidad de audio. Hay que configurarlo para que funcione con el codec LDAC, lo cual da una calidad musical superior. Evidentemente que escuches la música mejor o peor depende también de la fuente (dispositivo/archivo). Son unos auriculares para disfrutar la música en HQ. Vengo de los Ear 2, que también eran buenos, pero estos son superiores. Creo que posiblemente nos encontremos ante los mejores auriculares de Nothing por lo que he podido investigar y sin haber probado los Ear 3, pero supuestamente estos Ear de 2024 buscan satisfacer más al usuario audiofilo, al que busca la fidelidad de la reproducción, sin poner ni quitar nada a la música. La App ofrece un buen nivel de personalización (incluyendo poder elegir entre 5 niveles de graves y ecualizador avanzado) y es intuitiva. La conexión bluetooth es muy rápida. La caja (al menos con estos negros) marca las huellas fácilmente pero no parece tan frágil como he leído en algunos sitios. Ajustan bien al oído y no son especialmente incómodos. Importante: permiten asistente de voz pero solo con teléfonos Nothing. En conjunto me parecen muy buena opción de compra.
