Good product and easy to install.

When my builder fitted the filter, he was surprised with what it could do and very excited.

I haven’t had chance to see the results as it was only fitted today. The fittings on this do not allow you to connect straight to copper pipework. You will need to purchase extra connectors and after some searching, I used a compression straight tap connector 22mm x 3/4” from tool station product code 92409. This allowed me to connect to 22mm copper pipe.

Very solid build, top quality materials, base tap will purge any collected debris in seconds.

This a an extremely well made, high tech, low maintenance water filtering unit. Easy to install on mains IN pipe. It has pipe size adapters to fit the UK and EU standard mains water supply pipe. It functions by the force of water as it flows through the unit to remove the mineral build-up bits from municipal mains to own borehole pump water supply. Bottom has easy discharge valve whenever there is noticeable build-up removed. This will vary by where you live, source of mains water supply, and degree of local sedimentation. This unit goes extremely well when attached to mains to remove sedimentation before water enters a water softener.

The Waterdrop Water Pre-filtration System arrived with the following parts missing: 1off 1”-3/4” adapter. There was only 1 although the listing and the parts booklet says there should be 2. 1 off Quick Connector. Again, the parts booklet says there should be 2 but there was only 1. Amended 28th Aug 2014: Seller has contacted me, apologise for omissions and offered to send missing parts. They obviously try to ensure their customers are satisfied and can be trusted to rectify problems. The filter is very good so I can recommend this product and the supplier.

Looks like a solid and reliable filter but after spending quite a lot of time finding adapters to chnage from the imperial fittings on the filter to my metric water pipes, once all was connected and good to go, the filter wouldnt stop leaking! Disconnected everything, checked all connections, tightened the glass part as tight as it would go and re-fitted. It continues to leak constantly so water is now turned off awaiting arrival of a different, hopefully better filter!!

Hard to fit doesn’t come with correct fittings for standard water pipe sizes need more clarity in the description.Needs to come with standard pipe fittings.

I installed this on my water line after my pressure tank from my surface well to catch sediments. After a year of use, It still in good quality and work's well. You can see if sand is trap's in the bottom so you just open the drain valve and the spring push the separator down and clear the deposit. I fitted a hose in the bottom so the water flow directly to my drain. My plumber who worked on my house said it was well made and good quality
