tech21Evo Tactical Case for iPhone X - Black

I had the same Tech21 Tatical case on my iPhone 6S Plus and it lasted over two years. I have tried may cases, and this is literally the best case I have ever had on any phone. I (or my kids) drop my phone constantly, and have never had any sort of damage occur. It really looks like it will protect the camera and front screen. With the new glass back replacement prices, there is no way to go without a case. I can also confirm that it works with wireless charging. It is a minimal case with maximum protection.

Let's get the bad out of the way so you can decide if you want this case or not.1. Extremely wide (but very thing). Another reviewer mentioned it but I didn't believe it till I had it in my hand. If you have smaller hands, this could actually make it difficult for you to use your phone one-handed.2. Bottom cutouts are just bad. It makes it quite flimsy and also exposes part of the phone. If you were to drop your phone with this case on, it could easily damage the phone if it fell at the right angle again anything that isn't flat (edge of a desk, curb, rocks, etc).3. Tactile feel back on the buttons are okay. It's not horrible but not the best.4. Cutout for the volume/silent toggle isn't centered.Now for the good.1. This case is supposed to have impressive drop protection. I haven't tested it but seen quite a bit of review. My comment does stand in regards to the bottom cutouts and dropping it into certain surfaces that may still cause damage though.2. Grip is good. It isn't super grippy per se, but the texture of the pattern and the feel of the material is pretty good.3. Scratch resistant. I didn't test this but on a review, someone took a knife to it and didn't leave any scratches.4. It is very thin. This actually makes the case feel fairly small despite it being very wide. It is thick enough to extend pass the camera lens though. This allows you to lay the case down and it will lay flat.5. Very tight fit. This makes it difficult to take it off, at least from the top. The bottom is slightly flimsy due to the cutouts, so it's fairly easy to take it off from the bottom.All in all, this is a great case at a great price. If the width and bottom cutout aren't deal breakers for you, I say go for it.

I had ordered this case for my new iPhone X because I had previously purchased a Tech21 case for my iPhone 6. Very glad I ordered this one for the new iPhone. The case is light but also very sturdy and I feel comfortable if I were to drop it, it would help prevent a crack in the screen. The other thing I really like about it is that the case pushes out past the camera so it also protects the camera lens. I don't think my phones have ever looked so clean for so long.I highly recommend this product and company to protect your iPhone.Edit (11/7/2018): The case still works and has successfully protected my iPhone X, I'm skeptical that a different case would look as nice and work as well as this one. One of my friends has the same case for his iPhone X and also strongly recommends. I've dropped my phone a couple times, onto tile, carpet, face up, face down, on the side, the phone is still in tact and the back hasn't shattered. Of course, gunk builds up where the case and phone meet, but the case is easily removed to clean it. Because of the raised sides on the front, I'm comfortable not using a screen protector.

I have been using this case for several months now and like it very much. The design, form and fit to the iPhone X is perfect. The grip is sure and I feel that it protects the phone as best it could despite not testing this feature. I have used Tech 21 cases for many of my phones and prefer their quality built over others. It isn't bulky or a "super armor" type case. This being my wife's phone, she isn't thrilled with the black iPhone X with a black case. She would prefer some color but at the time this phone came out there wasn't much of a selection in that department. Maybe there is now. I would recommend this case due to it's design, protection, value, and fit.

The case feels snug and I feel comfortable dropping it without having to worry. The design on the back is unique and stylish as well as providing grip to the case. Many have said that the case makes the phone wider, but I prefer it like that since I have don't have any trouble holding my phone with one hand. The case feels premium and will work with wireless charging. My only gripe is the bottom of the case as it is exposed other than that it’s worth the price.

had a speck case earlier, and my phone would overheat when wireless charging in my bmw running apple carplay and waze. the back of this case is much thinner which seems to have helped the overheating quite a bit. something about the distance between the phone to the charging pad, not necessarily the material. the edges seem to have enough protection. have dropped it a few times since getting and is protecting well. Looks pretty nice, and my daughter approves.

I replaced a Tech21 clear case that worked great but was starting to show its age. The outside texture of this case allows you to keep a firm grip on your iPhone X and it has harden corners to protect phone if dropped.Would Buy Again, Would Recommend.

This is my second the first I got with the phone purchase at the AT&T store almost $30 this was a great price and it’s a fantastic case.

Tech21 was recommended to me in-store at my phone service provider back for my previous phone. He repeatedly threw his phone to the floor to demonstrate the safety and security of the case. I was very happy with the one I bought, so I wasn’t going to get anything else for my new phone. This one is more hard and solid, which looks and feels great. Only problem is that it’s quite hard to remove to clean my phone! Very happy and would buy again. I won’t ever buy anything but Tech21.

iPhone XS Max , iPhone SEAfter years of using Tech21 cases with our iPhones’ & still ending up with the odd cracked screen. I got this for my kids iPhone SE(s) & straight out of the box I could see how tough & durable ,it was hard to get on too as they don’t bend or fold. I already had another new tough case for my XS Max but this was stronger tougher & definitely better than my original. So I got 1 too ,so that’s 3 iPhones from SE to XS Max all protected & fully tested by various accidents by the 3 of us & 3 perfectly working safe phones not a scratch chip or any damage whatsoever. Highly recommend it

Feel solid and not bulky at all. Really feels protected on the edges of the phone

Nice case , it fits well. Nice and snug but havent put a screen protector on yet
