The metal infuser is fine enough for ground coffee. You should be able to cold brew coffee well in this. However, we would never recommend that you switch between brewing tea and coffee in the same vessel. Let us know how it goes.

Q: Is this bottle and top dishwasher safe?

This product is not dishwasher safe. We recommend handwashing both the bottle and lid to ensure that the o-ring in the lid does not come out in the dishwasher.
