Top Quality Marley RD25R Rain Water Diverter White to fit 68mm Round or 65mm Square downpipes

My conservatory has white water goods, so I needed to replace the black diverter kit sent with my new water butt. I read the remark of an earlier reviewer that the connecting hose wouldn't fit the outlet pipe and had given it poor marks on that basis. I discovered that the hose was manufactured from thermo-plastic and that by immersing the end in a cup of boiling water for 30 seconds it became elastic enough to slip over the pipe with ease. As it cooled down, it made a good tight connection. Very pleased with the product.

I wanted a rain diverter that matched white down pipes on house and Marley appeared to be only one that made them in white. The two major DIY stores only stocked black ones in strange shapes that may have been alright to fit on a garden shed down pipe but not for a house. I am pleased that I found this on Amazon. Easy to fit and looks good.

This has a 25mm outlet so old standard waterbutt pipes fit. The internal diameter is 22mm compared to the 15mm of the cheaper Floplast model. This means the collection rate capacity of the Marley diverter is 115% greater than the Floplast. So less loss to drain waste. This is only effecive when we have heavy rain, but hey this is Britain!The instructions are fairly clear. I recommend a long spirit level to make sure everything flows properly; I discovered I was 2cms out when I relied on measuring alone.One niggle is that the butt connector should be a bit longer for connecting the pipe securely.Unfortunately not cheap.

Replacment for exsisting

Purchased item to match white downpipes on house. Thought I could trust Marley products as all my pipes and gutters are made by the same company. However this product is of very poor quality. The flexible hose, meant to divert water from the downpipe into a water butt was the wrong diameter, or the connectors provided are the wrong size as they do not fit together at all, despite following instructions on package to the letter. In all the years of buying from Amazon this is the first time I have received such a poorly made product.

Easy to fit and works well.

Found this and bought it, then a couple of days later found another that cost about a third less. Then when I tried to use it I found that the pipe did not fit onto the spout no matter how I twisted and pressed, so I have had to order a water butt connector kit because that fits perfectly. So far this has cost me over 30GBP, when if I had bought the other one I would have paid half that. Not happy, pity I can't leave no stars.
