New Classic Furniture Gia Drop Leaf Counter Table with Two Chairs, 42-Inch, 42.25" Set, Ebony

I purchased the Ebony 5 Piece Round Dining Set. Not to confuse this with other reviews of the bar height table & chairs. I am extremely impressed with the quality of this set. It is classy looking, SOLID, well made, sturdy, easy to assemble, and is a definite value for the price! I was skeptical about buying a dining set from Amazon but this one did not disappoint. I am in my mid-50's and assembled the entire thing myself in about 2 hrs. The instructions were excellent and the whole process was very straightforward. Please note that they do not include any extra hardware, so make sure that you keep track of each nut/bolt/screw as you go. The most difficult part was carrying the top of the dining table inside the house by myself. I recommend lying it on a soft surface such as a blanket or carpet while assembling. Regarding other reviews about the chairs wobbling, I simply assembled the chair seat and legs by loosely tightening the screws/nuts/bolts by hand. Then I set the chair feet on the floor to level prior to tightening everything securely. The seat cushions were a tad more complicated as there aren't any predrilled holes for the screws. At first, as other stated, I thought that the screws were not long enough. However after I realized that they just didn't want to go through the pre-drilled holes in the frame, I just took my screwdriver and inserted it in the holes from the bottom and screwed the screwdriver for a bit in a grinding manner (with no screws in place) until the screws easily slid right through. Apply firm pressure to the seat cushion while screwing in the screws. After assembly, I did still notice a little wobble in a couple of the chairs, but when I moved them to a different part of my dining room, they did not wobble, therefore I suspect that my floor isn't perfectly level. I simply attached some cut-to-fit 3M felt glider pads (that I intended to use anyway to protect my floor) and that removed all of the tiny wobble that there previously was. Also, when applying the felt to the table feet, I noticed that the feet on the frame are actually adjustable as well! The feet are NOT adjustable on the chairs. The frame is nice Solid wood. The dark ebony color is not too dark. It's a gorgeous reddish/brown color (as can be best seen in the photo of the chair). For the price, this set is definitely a value. My last dining room set was a similar price but was not nearly as well made or attractive. The size is also perfect for my dining room area. I love the appearance of the shelf underneath and I feel that it makes the set even more sturdy, however I don't like that the chairs won't push in under the table all of the way. It also takes away some leg room when seated. However I was aware of this prior to purchase. I think the shelf gives it a little more personality and a more attractive appearance than if it were to just have 4 posts for legs. Also, the seats do not have a lot of padding, they are quite firm. However that does not detract from my ultimate satisfaction with this set. If looking for a dining set, I would definitely purchase again. UPDATE to previous review, I purchased a glass beveled edge table top for this set. For anyone considering doing this, purchase the 46" size, not 47". Due to the the scalloped edging of the table, the actual surface area is only 46". ALSO, note that the table top itself is not perfectly level! Now that I've added the glass top with rubber bumpers, I can see that only 4 of the rubber bumpers I placed (towards the center of the table) have "suctioned" to the glass and table. The bumpers do not touch the table around the edge. This means that the center of the table sits higher than the edges. I'm still going to leave my review at 5 stars simply because of the value for the money. It's still a gorgeous, sturdy set. I just am crossing my fingers the glass won't crack because of this. It's only a matter of millimeters.

This dining set is just GORGEOUS!!! It looks way more expensive than it is. Excellent quality and I’ve gotten lots of compliments on it from guests to people commenting on my post about it. Seats are comfortable and table is nice and sturdy. I’ve seen other reviews complaining about it being too heavy. I live on the 3rd floor and we managed to get it up here! You can’t expect quality in a box that weighs 10lbs! Of course it’s going to be heavy. I’ve seen reviews where people are complaining about the assembly. It took all of an hour and a half to put all of it together and that’s just one person. It’s silly to expect a table and four chairs to be able to be assembled any quicker than that!!! Assembly was easy and instructions were clear. All parts were present. People complained about damaged parts. Sometimes that happens when heavy furniture is being shipped. I don’t understand why people expect perfection in everything and why not contact the seller? Sellers will usually take care of you if you politely contact them. This table is just gorgeous. I got the ebony one. I absolutely LOVE it. Also got excellent customer service!

Stores are all in BO and we needed something fast .... but this was not only fast but such quality!!! Super happy with it.

I love this. The chairs took awhile to put together but worth it. There was a strong chemical odor so I put a bowl of white vinegar under neath it. It took about a week but the smell is gone, had to change the vinegar a few times but worth it. Love it!

Very satisfied, looks beautiful. My apartment is small this fits perfect. Quality is good, no damages, all parts were in the box. Easy to assemble, just a little time consuming with all the screws, but still easy to assemble. Table & chairs are sturdy. I got the color brown, Counter Height with drop down leaf. Drop down leaf folds up & down easy and is sturdy. Very Happy & satisfied. Great Value.
