I purchased Garvee Geotextile Landscape, 3ft x 300ft & 6oz Geotextile Fabric. When the box arrived I noticed that the shipping weight was 31#. I expected the weight of the fabric alone to be 6oz. per square yard. Based on the total Sq Yds (3 x 300 / 9) = 100. My expectation was a total weight of 600 oz. or 37.5#. I returned the product and purchased another brand from Amazon, the 2nd product was the same size and description. It also arrived at 31# shipping weight. I did keep the 2nd purchase and the product was totally acceptable for use in covering a foundation drainage system. Going out on a limb, I believe that both products were identical but the 2nd was considerably less expensive.

I bought 100 ft of the 6ft tall and it’s absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. I’m using this behind my privacy fence to block light from showing through the gaps in the fence board. This fence design is called venetian fencing and it’s very popular in the UK. I haven’t seen any videos of people building them here in the US but I think this stuff is perfect for it. I do recommend getting enough to do a double layer because light will shine through a single layer slightly. This stuff feels kind of like felt, cuts relatively easily and doesn’t appear to fray.
