Marvel Universe Comic Packs: Cyclops and Dark Phoenix

This is a nice product and very excited to give it as a gift to a friend. It has the two major character with the reproduction of the comic from that era. I recommend this product.

Let's be honest. The prize here is very clearly the Dark Phoenix Jean Grey. Cyclops certainly isn't bad, but it's a re-release of the classic blue Cyclops that's available in other parts of the Marvel Universe line, the major difference being a different and in my opinion inferior paint job (black with blue highlights as opposed to the dark blue with shading). The only other flaw is that Cyclops, once again, can't touch his visor. Otherwise this a great set that comes with a comic book - a chapter out of the classic and iconic Dark Phoenix saga. Dark Phoenix herself is similar to other female molds in the Marvel Universe set, with the same excellent articulation and great painting I've come to expect from the artists at Hasbro. This could very well be the best Jean Grey in the line, unless you'd rather have the Jim Lee original. For me, someone who bought this primarily for the Jean Grey and not so much for Cyclops, the price was a bit on the steep side, but you're not going to find it much cheaper than $40, and for two classic figures and a comic, that's not a terrible price. Overall a worthy purchase.

I received this cramped in a box which bent the top. On top of this, this product has been open and was taped back together. As an aspiring collector, this renders it useless in my opinion. Horrible job.

at first when Hasbro said they were going to do two packs in their mu figured it would just be the big guns cap iron man and thor and wolverine. and spider man. but was happy to see this one be dark phoenix and cyclops from my favorite x story the dark phoenix saga. given their size hasbro manage to pull it off. cyclops is done perfectly like he could almost blast from his visor dark phoenix is not only in her face showing that she really the big bad of the story plus Hasbro manage to nail her color wise.the only draw back phoenix belt is too small and is liable to break off.

They look great, and they represent an iconic moment in Marvel history, too bad hasbro packaged my Cyclops with a busted visor on a otherwise flawless action figure set!
