I like this HoMedics humidifying diffusers unusual shape and it is a bit larger and holds more water than my regular diffuser. It is very modern and sleek in design. This diffuser is the quietest diffuser I have ever encountered. It comes with directions on how to use the product and is well packaged in a lovely box that has its own trademark wrapping paper, wall cord, information booklet and three starter oils of which I have included photos.The only complaint I have with the design is the fact that the lid comes off very easily and because of this your diffuser should be kept away from small children and animals(which should be done as a precautionary measure anyway). The other thing I noticed about this diffuser is that it does not come with a cup to measure and pour into the diffuser the correct amount of water. You have to measure water into the diffuser itself.Moving on to the high points of the diffuser...besides its design I also like its ease of use. If you're looking at your diffuser the button on the left controls all of the mist functions, press it once for continual mist twice for intermittent mist and three times for no mist. If you are looking directly at your diffuser the right button controls all light configurations. Push the right button once for continuously changing lighting, push it twice if you want it to stay on one particular color and push the right button 3 times if you don't want the light to be on at all.In short if you push both buttons three times you will in effect turn the device off. Even though this diffuser does not have a pour cup to measure liquid and the lid comes off a little easier than my regular diffuser I prefer it because it is larger, it diffuses over a greater area of space and I feel like the scent content is of higher quantity and quality. 5 stars!

Only thing I don’t like is the cord attached at bottom of unit. This causes me to spill water out of diffuser when I’m re-attaching the plug. They should have put the port/jack on the side of the unit, not underneath where you can’t see what you’re doing.

Doesn’t work. Not sure why, but nothing comes out. Returning.

On the product page, this essential oil aroma diffuser looked very stylish in a modern, spare way. Although I'm not usually into essential oils or aroma diffusers, I thought I'd give this one a try.This is an ultrasonic aroma diffuser, it never gets hot. The steam it emits is cool.The packaging is quite nicely done, all in "natural looking" brown kraft paper and cardboard. The presentation is refined and would make a good gift.As soon as I opened the box, I could smell something deliciously sweet and orangy. Very nice!Unfortunately, that lovely fragrance was from one of the three essential oil samples that came with the diffuser. All of the Orange oil had seeped out of its tiny jar and had been absorbed by the various paper packing materials in the box, leaving things a bit of an oily mess.You get three tiny (2ml/.07fl.oz) oil samples with this kit:-Orange single essential oil-Fight It seasonal support blend oil, a citrus, eucalyptus, spice mix.-Tune In focus and attention blend oil, a lemon, basil, peppermint, sage mix.All three fragrances are pleasant enough and seem to be quality, natural oils. I can't say that the "Fight It"oil prevented the head cold that I currently suffer from, or the "Tune In" focus oil allowed me to write a better review. The peppermint in the "Tune In" oil did make my inner nose tingle a bit and caused the dog to wake up from an afternoon nap and leave the room.Instructions say to put 5-7 drops of oil into the water reservoir. I found 2-3 drops plenty sufficient.The diffuser itself is a bit disappointing looks-wise. It is plastic and although sleek, looks and feels a bit cheesy. The color changing light which cycles through a spectrum of colors, doesn't help in this regard.There is an option to freeze the light on any color of your choosing: lavender, orange, or bright pink, for instance. When a deep blue, the diffuser would make a nice night light for a child. You can also turn the light off, my preferred choice. With no colored lights, the white unit blends into the background .You get two mist options: continuous on and a cycle of 30 seconds on/30 seconds off. The 30 second cycle allows quite a bit of scent to enter the air.When the water reservoir is empty, the unit turns itself off.The unit works well. Steam is produced within seconds of plugging the product in and turning the product on.

UPDATE: Ok, I updated to 3 stars. I did get a new bottle of essential oils and tried it. Still can't smell it in my air. But when I leave the room and come back in, I do detect a very faint aroma (thus the upgrade to 3 stars). Not strong like I wanted or hoped for. I thought this unit would really amp up the fragrance in my small bedroom/office. My room is extremely small so it should be filling the air with lavender. Oh, I also put it right next to my super awesome Bissell My Air Pro air cleaner and it's sucking in the aroma and sending it back out with the clean air, so I think that's the ONLY reason I can detect a faint aroma. Still not happy with this, still do not recommend it and in my opinion, explore better options if you're considering this.**********************Not sure why so many good reviews! I can't smell ANY fragrance, even on constant mode. I expected this device to really fill my small bedroom/office with scent but.... nothing. I got the unit but no scents with it, so I am using the essential oils that came with my Quantum X water filtration vacuum. Maybe I need to buy some oils here on Amazon and try those (?) I gave it 2 stars cause it's pretty. Also the water reservoir is too small. Runs out too fast for all day use. I will get some other oils to try and update this review if those help make a difference.
