Areaware JDFLM Torch Wooden Flashlight, Medium

I debated on giving this 3 or 4 stars. It's a nice flashlight but for the money I expected a little more. One thing is that it's really just a metal tube in wood. That's a given as wood isn't a good conducter. The bad thing is that the bulb is not replaceable, at all. I mean you can't even get to it. I realize LEDs have a long life but we also know that early failure happens. This makes the flashlight in essence disposable. Mine also has a serious crack in the wood on the battery door that I'm a bit concerned about. Often once wood cracks it's a short time until it fails. I think they probably adhered it well, but if they didn't it will come off. I like the flashlight and I know I'm nitpicking but the fact that the bulb is sealed just annoys me. I'd rather have the older model that used a standard bulb and put my own LED in it.

People who don't care about design may gawk at the price. You can get a plastic or metal LED flashlight for much cheaper or a really nice mag-lite. But, I don't care. I love my wood flash light and it even came with a nice carrying bag.

I gave this flashlight to my husband for his birthday. He is a big gadget guy but is highly critical of workmanship and quality. To my pleasure, he really enjoyed this flashlight. He loved that it was LED and used standard AA batteries. The flashlight is well made and feels weighty in your hand. It is a bit pricey but makes a unique gift for someone like my husband.

Didn't realize the button glows. This makes a great gift. My husband likes to leave flashlights out all the time. They might as well look good.

Bought this as something fun to add to my father's growing flashlight collection. Great little flashlight! I probably would recommend buying at least the Medium if not the Large size rather than the small.

Great flashlight.... until the bulb fails and then it becomes a paperweight. Had the flashlight for a while (5 months) and I absolutely loved it. Very bright. Then it rolled off an end table falling great distance of 16 inches onto a carpeted floor. Everything looked fine, no cracks or chips but I guess the bulb may have been dislodged or something because now it doesn't work at all. Would have loved to see if I could fix it but some genius decided to seal everything up for aesthetics instead of going for practicality. Like I said, it was awesome when it worked but too fragile for a flashlight. It's essentially a very expensive disposable flashlight. My Maglite is still going strong though.

Amazon vende las linternas de manera defectuosa. He pedido dos linternas y ambas han llegado con el mismo defecto por lo que se trata de una partida defectuosa. Todavía me tienen que llegar 3 más y estoy temblando pensando si van a tener el mismo defecto. No se trata de algo casual, se trata claramente de un problema de fabricación donde Amazon está vendiendo una partida defectuosa.Me he puesto en contacto con el fabricante y me comentan que Amazon es el responsable, así que, ante un bonito producto me queda una insatisfacción muy grande.

Technisch gibt es natürlich kleinere, stabilere, leichtere und hellere Lampen auch schon für das Geld (ich habe 29€ bezahlt für die Lampe), aber das ist ja auch nicht der Sinn der Lampe. Die Verarbeitung ist richtig gut, einzig die Gewinde waren noch nicht geölt, laufen geölt aber richtig gut. Die Lampe wird über einen im Dunklen nachleuchteten Schalter ein-/ausgeschaltet und hat keine weiteren Modi. Betrieben wird sie mit 5AA Batterien und fällt dabei so groß aus wie eine Maglite 3D pder LED Lenser P17. Die Helligkeit dürfte bei etwa 100 Lumen liegen mit recht viel Licht im Spot für hohe Reichweite. Leider hat das Lichtbild mehrere störende Ringe, aber die Lampe ist wohl auch eher ein Samllerstück oder Geschenkartikel. Dafür macht sie aber auch richtig was her.
