Zilla Reptile Habitat Décor Basking Platform Filter, Small, 10-20G

I absolutely like the design of this decor/filter for my turtles. My turtles climb up daily to get their "tan". Works great for about 2 weeks. Filter started making semi-acceptable noise (vibration from the motor I assume). Around the same time, I noticed the paint start to come off in small pieces. I took it out of my tank a few days later to rinse it because it was getting dirty with just water and more paint came off. Now 1/3 of the paint on the product is gone and the filter motor is louder than running water..... unfortunately I am returning/replacing it...I bit disappointed

I am using this platform in a 50 gallon tank. The product isn't meant for a tank that size, but I already planned to use this along with another filter. At first, my painted turtle didn't go to the top. I used stone to build a ramp up to it, and he now climbs up there. I love the way it looks in the tank. I know the main question I had prior to purchasing this was how loud is the motor in it. I have the tank in my livingroom where we watch TV, and this filter is very quiet.

The paint came off in the tank and it was loud . I bought two of them and they both did the same thing :(

It's really hard to find basking platforms for larger turtles (ours is 6x8). This is a good size for a 40-gallon tank. It came slightly damaged probably due to handling but we just kept it as it was not very visible and filter was working properly. I will probably need to get another filter though to keep the water cleaner. It was easy to set up and is a pretty addition to the aquarium.

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF THE PRODUCT. However, I wanted to clairfy that even though the picture says LARGE for 20 gallon terrarium and larger it is really meant for 40 Gallons or larger. While this did fit in my 20 gallon long terrarium it was quite large and then that is when I saw on the box it stated 40 Gallons Terrariums not 20 gallons. Had I known it was for the 40g tank I would have bought the small off the bat. The directions also were for the small and not the large, while I'm sure I would have figured out the setup just wanted to make buyers aware the directions aren't fully clear. I have included a picture of the box stating 40 gallons.UPDATE: I have changed my rating to a 2 I have received the smaller filter. It has been running for over 48 hours in a 20 gallon tank. My tank has never been so cloudy. Very disappointed in this product. I will have to get an alternative filter to keep up with the tank. I only have 1 turtle.

I love this rock! My turtle loves it even more! I still use another filter but this works fantastic it gets the stuff that floats toward the bottom and helps circulate water in the tank. The tank is also clear. Best purchase so far for my turtle plus he can't knock it over like he constantly does the other filter! As seen in picture before I fixed his cage. He loves to stretch out and chill

My turtles love it! Cleaning the basking platform is kind of a pain, but it's almost otherwise wonderful. I'm only giving it a 4-star review because the material is sensitive. I've broken off a piece of the outer body at the bottom. I'm certain it'll wear down over time.
