Painting behind any radiator is I’ve found alway awkward since most radiators are too near the wall and rollers most often don’t fit or are quite neat to pass between the rear of the radiator and wall. Resulting in reduced purchase on the long handled roller and paint not always being properly applied to the wall. Just bought this device. On sellers description it looked ideal. I’ve just used it; using the short reach and the long reach. It was effortless and really good application of the paint. Post cleaning was easy too. I suppose the test will come when the applicator once dry is used to apply a lighter coloured paint and to see if some of the discoloured bristles then allow some of the darker paint residue to bleed out? For now I have given this 4/5. Possibly the ‘tray’ being lengthened might just improve the paint tray; But for now it’s really worth buying. I’ve just used this device post cleaning with no paint bleed; excellent device.

Quite disappointed with this item, it was smaller than I anticipated and also quite flimsy, was thinking it could and would be a bit more sturdier, it bent when using it and at one point thought it was going to snap. It does come with a tray, but be careful how much paint you put in, as when you put the pad in it comes over the top, also found the when you put the pad into the tray it didn’t sit well in the tray and all the paint just seemed to stay at the front of the pad, I had to tilt the tray to get the paint all over the pad. The pad did do the job but was frightened of snapping it and at nearly £20 think that is a bit expensive for what it was .

As a decorator with over 20 years in the trade, I’ve lost count of how many times a radiator has been fitted so tightly to the wall that even a standard mini roller is too thick to get down behind it. This Paint Behind tool is an absolute lifesaver. It is incredibly thin and has really helped get me out of some very tight spots. It does exactly what it needs to do and makes an annoying job completely effortless. Every decorator needs one of these in their kit bag.

Not very good at all. Falls off easily on full extension. Bows in middle so does not cover. Don’t waste your money

I bought this to solve the problem of painting behind a radiator and have been blown away by how good it is. Managed to paint very deep behind the radiator in question as well as high up in the small gap between the kitchen units and the ceiling. It absolutely sucks into the wall to give a smooth coat of paint and the painty bit is washable and replaceable. Great product!

Holds the paint well and gives an even coat. It didn't fit behind our radiator which is why we bought it, so for the price was disappointed it didn't work for us. But that was more user error than an issue with the product itself.

It works very well in spaces where a paint brush will not go. I’m happy with my purchase.

This behind-the-toilet painting tool was a great purchase. It was straightforward to assemble and use, reached the tight space behind the toilet without any trouble, and provided good coverage. It saved time, reduced the hassle of painting in a cramped area, and performed exactly as advertised. I would definitely recommend it to anyone tackling a bathroom painting project.

This is the only product I've found that allows me to paint behind fixtures that are close, but not attached, to the wall. Simple to use and includes its own paint receptacle. No mess and easy clean up.

Pricey but works great. Should have option to purchase refills though.

I bought this because I was dreading taking the tanks off the toilets in order to paint behind them. I wasn't sure it would work on one toilet that had only about 1/2 inch of clearance behind the tank. But it did! Paint Behind does exactly what its makers promise. It's easy to load with paint, either by brushing the paint on or by dipping the brush in the included tray, or even dipping it carefully in your roller tray. The handle and brush are long enough to get all the way behind the tank-I swiped from the top, sides, and bottom. The paint goes on well so that it looks good with the other brushed or rolled paint in the area. Your job looks very professional when done, and no one would know that you didn't remove the tank to paint. The brush and pad clean up well-just let it rinse out, as opposed to running your hand down the pad. My bad-some paint spatters on my arms and on the counter, but cleanable. Lesson learned. I'm already thinking where else this tool could be useful-it would be great behind radiators, between appliances or cabinets and walls, or wherever there's a tight fit between something you want to paint and something you don't.
