Great for water kefir!!
These are perfect for making my water kefir.. I am sure the would work very well for other fermented foods/drinks. Very good seals and I like being able to remove the airlocks and replace with the stopper so I don't have to keep so many lids around. I am so very glad to have found these!!! I have tried other similar products and these work much better for me.

I'm disappointed that the submerger pieces don't fit properly into the ...
I'm disappointed that the submerger pieces don't fit properly into the wide mouths of my half gallon mason jars so they prevent the lids from screwing on. I tried several pieces in several jars and the submerger pieces are just a little too large in diameter. I'm baffled by this since both size jars use the same seal and lids. They do fit in my wide mouth quart jars properly, but I ferment much more often in the larger jars.

Nice jar lids for fermentation on a small scale.
Great for lacto-fermentation. Yes it's plastic, but I don't care. It's easy to clean, no need to be sterile. The rubber plugs are a great addition for when you're ready to put it in the fridge and slow the fermentation process. The inserts take the place of glass or stone weights so even if you don't have a full jar of veggies for the weight to sit on, you still keep the food underwater but at the top so you don't have to fish the weight out everytime you want to get in to the jar.

Perfect. Easy to use and clean
Arrived very quickly and they work perfectly for Kefir , 2nd ferment, and Kvass. They are easy to clean. I appreciate the information included to remove the airlock device over a soft surface. The airlock will crack if dropped on the floor. I am a novice to culturing foods and would like to have had instructions with these lids. I googled instructions for these.

Safe Fermenting
I got these for my boyfriend for fermenting. You can do fermenting without them, but why risk it? The airlock devices keep the bad stuff out and keeps your counter clean. Fermenting without them is unpredictable. I like having more control and these allow you to safely ferment.

Love it!
My fermentation life is now complete. I like the holes that you plug with stoppers. If I can't get the jar open I take the pressure off by unplugging first. I like that there are no little flies around my jars while my stuff is fermenting. So worth the price.

Great quality, lids fit great
Great quality, lids fit great. When you're pushing the airlock into the lid, brace the other side with your fingers to protect it from bending and then cracking. If it cracks it really is probably your own fault to be honest. They are a little pricey but it's a niche item.
