UTAC High Output 200 Lumen Tactical Compact Strobe Pistol LED Flashlight w/Weaver-Picatinny Quick Release - Basic Handheld Flashlights - desertcart.com Review: No name brand means no ridiculous cost - I've been in the shooter/tactical industry for around 16 years and have always valued a good tac light. But lets be honest. When you are looking at a reliable, name brand light, you're also looking at spending at least a couple hundred dollars for it as well. I'm here to tell you, don't look any further! This light has everything you need for your tactical pistol needs and more! 200 lumens of white light AS WELL AS a strobe mode for confusing and disorienting your aggressors. And for just over $30 a well built, heavy duty and reliable piece of kit. This light fits nicely on my Glock 19 rail but does NOT fit on my Sig 229. Regarless, it's money well spent and I can't praise this item enough. Review: excellent quality for the price - Mounts and unmounts instantly. Nice focused beam that's just bright enough for CQB/defensive use. For the price this is a steal. I also like the fact that my particular unit came naked with no markings whatsoever. It fits perfect on my SP2022 and the on switch can easily be activated with my index finger on my right hand. Turning it off requires my other hand. Not a fan of the strobe but the built in timer so it resumes normal on/off function is a nice feature. Will update after I take it out to the range and see how it holds up to live rounds. UPDATE #1 - after first session, the cap seemed to get a little loose after a few mags and would turn on/off intermittently with every shot. I tightened it back down and it seemed to fix it but then I ran outta ammo. UPDATE #2 - took it back to the range today - made sure it was nice and tight beforehand and fired 100 rounds with some rapid fire with no issues. Rather impressed given the price point. Battery life seems good too, still has yet to dim on me yet. Minor gripe I have is that you kinda need to remove battery before putting it in a bag or pocket to avoid it being turned on by accident, doesn't happen all that often but is possible.. Overall highly recommended for 9mm caliber. UPDATE #3 - battery life seems to be pretty good even with the generic battery that was included. As I mentioned before - the on/off toggle can be switched accidentally relatively easily- I ended up throwing the light in my ammo box and it got knocked around a fair bit and discovered that the light was switched on when I opened it back up....not sure how long it was on but it was a good 30 minutes or so to the range at least. Got another 100 rounds or so down range with no issues, just need to make sure the cap is screwed on as tight as possible. Would like to test on .45 and other more powerful calibers but my USP 45 compact is not compatible with this unit unfortunately.

Doesn't work
Bought this mostly because of the price point and the fairly solid reviews. It appears as advertised, looks cool, solid, decent design. But when I went to put it on my sig pistol, it wouldnt fit the rails. I was disappointed, but I still liked it so I figured I would put it on my AR, even if for just looks and balance. But then I put the battery in and it wouldnt turn on. It doesn't work. I checked the contacts and the battery, everything appears fine, but it doesnt turn on at all. So I wouldn't recommend this high output flashlight because mine cranked out a whopping zero lumens. But hey if I am the victim of a home invasion I can just ask the intruder to turn on a lamp or something.

Good light, Time will tell
Seems pretty durable and not super cheap looking or flimsy. There may be better lights out there as far as look and feel but I am happy with it. Doesn't say UTAC on the light like the picture indicates. Would have liked to have seen that but oh well, functionality is all I care about it. The light functions pretty good. Very bright constant and with a strobe setting. The strobe even disoriented me a little bit and that's with the light pointed away from me. Have a feeling anyone being pointed at with this light is going to throw them off balance a bit. Overall, good. Time will tell as soon as I get some range time with it. UPDATE: Took it to the range and it turned off after two rounds of .45. Will not trust my life with this. Just get a Stream Light. Save your time and money...

Works
I took this to the range soon after buying. Since I am cheap and would probably never pay over $100 bucks for a friggin flashlight, I went w/ this option. A few years ago, I bought the $40 pistol light over at Walmart. That lasted about two trips to the range. I was hoping for more w/ this one, although about the same price. It worked, even during recoil, however, the light did switch from solid to blinking and back and forth during firing. At least it did not go off, or break. Guess that's the best I can hope for at this price point. The light felt solid and slipped onto the weapon in a very secure manner. It is also a very bright light, although it gets dimmer as you fire given the gun power residue that builds up on the lens. All in all, a good, fun light to use. I am on the fence as to whether I would trust it w/ my life. Need a few more trips to the range to decide. I don't mind the switching of solid to blinking as long as it stays on and doesn't break. Recommend other systems such as night sights, or lasers to compliment for back up.

Perfect fit and function for the Berretta 92A1
Perfect Tac light for the 92A1 fits perfect. Goes on easy with one hand holding the light and one on the gun. Comes off just as easily. Function between the constant on and strobe couldn't be easier. With a bit of practice it is easily done. The strobe works awesomely. It totally blinds you. I tried it on my self and my friends. Super bright. Can't go wrong with this light for the price. I have included some pics mounted. It butts up all the way against the trigger guard.
