Sports Illustrated---not what i used to be
I've been getting SI for 25 years+ and I'm having difficulty with the once-a-month format. It's just not as interesting and obviously not as timely. Good example is the Dodgers/Lakers winning the championships. Those issues used to special--now neither team made the cover and the coverage was minimal. The SI Sportsman of the year was good, but again, sad to say, the magazine has lost a lot....and most likely me as a subscriber.

but I like reading it too
What can I say about Sports Illustrated that hasn't already been said? How's this: It's my go-to gift for my husband for Christmas, but I like reading it too. It has the best national and international sports coverage, and in every issue I learn something new. It gives me a way to stay informed about what's happening in sports, and have a better handle on what's going on especially when the play offs and big games roll around. March Madness is right around the corner -- looking forward to filling out my own bracket for the NCAA tournament.

My Son loves sports. Watching & reading.
This was a gift to my son. He plays in a variety of sports. His friends and family consider him a sports fanatic in every way. He watches probably double or more of the sports he plays.

Even during this pandemic, Sports Illustrated find good subject matter
With no sporting events going on, I thought I wasted my money when this pandemic struck, but in the last two issues I've read some amazing article about some intense subject matter, from violent murder, to bank robbery, which is of to read in Sports Illustrated, but we're in odd times now, and I commend the writers at Sports Illustrated.

Caution: This product contains paper!
I was utterly amazed to learn that some publications, such as this one, are still available in print! Sports Illustrated is one of the select few that are worthy of tree life taken to make them. A great read each and every week. My interaction with the vendor was flawless as well. I bought it, it showed up. Can't ask for much more than that.

Purchased (Even shows it with the Banner at the Top) but receiving SI for Kids instead
So, I purchased this back in November, (November 18th per the banner at the top) and just received my first issue, or what I thought would be my first issue in January. Ok, took a bit of time, but I was prepared for a bit of a wait. However, I am receiving SI For Kids not Sports Illustrated itself. To make sure this isn't a mistake I tried using the account number printed on label to log into sports illustrated customer service web page. Didn't work. Then I tried SI for Kids, and it worked, and it said to contact Synapse for any billing issues. I've been trying to get through their voice system and its very painful

Sports Illustrated
I just started taking SI again after a fairly long break. The articles are well written and I know the information is typically very accurate but dang, do the articles have to be soooooo loooonnng and detailed? Maybe it's me but I do not need every faction of any story laid out in this level of detail. I probably will not renew the subscription, if I make the full year.
