All what I expect

I like this fan a lot. It's quite tall but I like that as it covers more of the room. It has 10 settings for both heat and cooling fan. It oscillates nearly 90 degrees, so is perfect for plonking in a corner.It has an app that's not bad, and can connect to alexa/Google home etc. I've only managed to get it to turn on and off with Google home, I need to spend a bit more time to work that out.It's powerful on the highest settings, and even though it's only 2Kw, the heat seems to spread really quickly, more so than a static small heater of the same power rating.It has a timer, and you can turn the annoying beeping off from the remote control.One of the best things I've got recently, I think it's worth the money.

This is a good fan.It's quiet on the first couple of speeds so doesn't interfere with watching TV or sleeping.I love the option of cooling or heating. This means you can leave it in situ all year round.From the fan cooling, switching to heating, it starts to heat very quickly. When you turn it off it cools down before it switches off. This is a good safety feature.There's a small display window on the front that shows the temperature level.The remote works well. And thankfully you can turn the beep off with this.With the remote you have cooling or heating controls, oscillation and timer settings.It connected to the app easily and on this you can customise to your needs. This worked very well.I've got many things on the Tuya/Smart Life app and didn't particularly want more separate apps, so I tried connecting it to that.It did come up, looks the same, and did work but with a bit of delay.Connected to Alexa automatically when I added it to Smart Life. On/off controls on app but did work with voice.

PROS:- It works well: There's no doubt, this heating / cooling fan does what it's meant to do. Since it has both heating and cooling capabilities, it's perfect for a room which isn't fitted with radiators or air conditioning.- 2 in 1: it's both a heater AND a cooling fan.- Smart technology: It's very well-designed. It has a snazzy remote through which you can control all the settings, from how hot you want the room in degrees, you can control whether it oscillates or not; the speed of the air flow; whether you want it to shut off by itself after a certain amount of time (via the timer function). And you can also link it to your phone via an app to control it from there. It's also clever enough that it allows you to set a certain temperature you want it to reach, and then it switches itself off when it reaches that temperature!- Futuristic design: It can fit well with a sleek, modern room decor. It almost looks like a modern art sculpture!- Easy to follow instructions, and easy to use.CONS:- 2000W usage: I imagine that exactly how much energy it uses depends on how strong you set the fan and how strongly you're trying to heat a room etc. The box says it uses 2000W - so according to that alone, it sounds quite energy hungry, so sounds like it would be expensive to run for long periods of time.- Noise: It's noisier than a cheaper fan or standard heating system's radiator. Even on the lowest setting it's noisier than a radiator. On the highest air speed setting I believe it reaches about 56 dB, which is very noticeable indeed.- It's big! At over a metre tall, it is very noticeable.- Remote: We found you needed to point the remote quite exactly to get it to register by the machine. At times we pressed a button and it wouldn't respond because we didn't point it at the machine just right.OTHER NOTES:- The oscillation covers roughly 180 degrees. Maybe a little less.
