Loake Fearnley Mens Formal Lace Up Shoes

Think Loake shoes and you think ‘English’, you think ‘built to last’ and you think ‘supreme quality’ of an almost regal nature. Well shoe buyer beware! These Loake Fearnley’s are from the Loake ‘design’ range and are perfectly fine but they are not made in England, they are made in India and not quite what I expected from a ‘sturdy’ and ‘built to last’ Loake shoe. In fact in terms of build and quality it is now almost impossible to distinguish the shoes in the Loake ‘design’ range from a good marks and spencer shoe (also made in India)...except for the price!.. they are twice the price! So unless you are buying your Loake shoes from the 1880 range (all still made in England), think twice before you spend your hard earned cash on the ‘design’ range from Loake. They are Loake and they are a good shoe... but not as we knew them!

Nice shoe, comfortable. Dubious to buy off the amazon but arrived really quick, the usual Loake box but not fabric cover that has come with other shoes. A small chip in the wood making up the sole but very small and didn't really put me off. Excellent price.

A really smart pair of traditional shoes. I think these shoes will last a lifetime and possibly longer with the correct care. The dispatch was prompt, and everything was as described. Certainly a very good and happy purchase.

Quite a slippery base on these shoes which you need to be careful with, not much in research when you look at previous reviews as they were not cheap
